Feliz día y feliz inicio de semana amigos de needleworkmonday. Este fin de semana estuve iniciando mis labores de costura de este año 2024 y comencé con un proyecto lindo, unas cotillas para la hija de una gran amiga. Este es un proyecto muy sencillo y lindo ideal para obsequiar en cumpleaños y como emprendimiento funcionaría muy bien.

Happy day and happy start of the week needleworkmonday friends. This weekend I was starting my needlework for this year 2024 and I started with a nice project, a pair of sewing accessories for the daughter of a great friend of mine. This is a very simple and cute project, ideal for birthday gifts and as a business venture it would work very well.

Con 25 cm de tela microdurazno y haciendo el patrón luego de ver videos en YouTube inicie mi proyecto y corté dos piezas para la parte delantera ya que la hice doble para que quedara mas fuerte y duradera y también lleva una pieza trasera, los tiros van con vivo elástico.

With 25 cm of microdurazno fabric and making the pattern after watching videos on youtube I started my project and cut two pieces for the front part since I made it double so that it would be stronger and more durable and it also has a back piece, the straps are with elastic binding.

Comencé costura trabajando con todas las piezas a la vez, ya que como les comenté la parte delantera va doble, entonces pase costura por los costados colocando primero una de las piezas delanteras luego la parte trasera y sobre esta la otra parte delantera, este proceso me permite que la costura de los costados quede oculta, lo que nos da mejor acabado. Lo siguiente fue colocar vivo elástico en la parte del pecho.

I started sewing working with all the pieces at the same time, since as I told you the front part goes double, then I sewed the sides placing first one of the front pieces, then the back part and on this the other front part, this process allows me to hide the seam of the sides, which gives us a better finish. The next step was to place live elastic on the chest part.

Seguidamente vamos a colocar los tiros de la cotilla que se formaran con el vivo elástico, comenzando a coser el largo deseado de uno de los tiros y esta costura sigue con el mismo vivo por la espada y terminamos con el otro tiro. Luego cosemos ambos tiros a la pieza de la espalda y terminamos la prenda colocando vivo elástico por la parte baja de la cotilla.

Next, we are going to place the straps of the collar that will be formed with the elastic piping, starting to sew the desired length of one of the straps and this seam continues with the same piping by the sword and we finish with the other strap. Then we sew both straps to the back piece and we finish the garment by placing elastic piping on the lower part of the neckline.
