My First Ring, with Wire and Reused Stone 💍 Mi Primer Anillo, con Alambre y Piedra Reutilizada

Feliz día amigos de esta maravillosa comunidad @jewelry. Los anillos son de las joyas que más me encantan. Cuando entre en mi adolescencia los comencé a usar, en principio mi madre en cada cumpleaños me tenía uno de regalo y aunque se puede decir que era repetitivo a mí me parecía el mejor regalo y lo espera con ansias. Luego mi esposo tomó ese rol, porque sabía lo mucho que me gustaban, así que en cualquier fecha importante no dudaba en regalarme uno.
En casa tengo muchas piedras que me han quedado de collares y zarcillos que con el tiempo se han roto o en el caso de los zarcillos se han extraviado los pares y quedan solo uno, así que he decidido darle una segunda oportunidad a esas piedras creando nuevos accesorios y quise comenzar con lo que más me gusta que son los anillos.
El trabajo con alambre nunca lo he realizado, pensé que tenía que hacer mucha fuerza en mis manos para trabajarlo, más el modelo de anillo que me gustó para realizar lleva alambre y la piedra la tomé de un zarcillo que me gustaba mucho y como dije, el otro par se me extravió, su color y brillo me gustan mucho así que lo guardaba para alguna manualidad, pero fue mi primera opción al elegir una piedra para mi nuevo anillo.
At home I have many stones that I have left from necklaces and earrings that over time have broken or in the case of the earrings the pairs have been lost and there is only one left, so I decided to give a second chance to those stones creating new accessories and I wanted to start with what I like the most which are the rings.
I have never worked with wire, I thought I had to make a lot of strength in my hands to work it, plus the ring model that I liked to make has wire and the stone I took it from a tendril that I liked a lot and as I said, the other pair was lost, I like its color and brightness so I kept it for some craft, but it was my first choice when choosing a stone for my new ring.
💍Materiales//Materials💍
- 1 Piedra de bisutería.
- Alambre de bisutería (0.8mm).
- Pinzas (piqueta/para enrollar).
- Brocha de maquillaje.
- Cinta métrica.
- 1 Costume jewelry stone.
- Costume jewelry wire(0.8mm).
- Tweezers (pickaxe/rolling tongs).
- Makeup brush.
- Tape measure.
💍Proceso de Creación//Creation Process💍
Para tener la medida aproximada del anillo, medí la circunferencia de mi dedo medio, he hice un aproximado según las vueltas que debía dar al alambre en el proceso en general. Luego medí el alambre que fueron 30 cm y corté con la pinza para cortar o piqueta.
To get the approximate size of the ring, I measured the circumference of my middle finger, and made an approximation according to the turns that I had to give to the wire in the overall process. Then I measured the wire which was 30 cm and cut with the cutting pliers or pickaxe.
Tomé luego la piedra de bisutería he introduje el alambre, haciendo que quedara en el medio o mitad del alambre.
Then I took the costume jewelry stone and introduced the wire, making it stay in the middle or half of the wire.
Para continuar usé la brocha de maquillaje para usarla como guía, en el mango de esta comencé a enrollar el alambre, dando una vuelta con cada extremo del alambre para formar la base del anillo.
To continue I used the makeup brush to use as a guide, on the handle of this I began to roll the wire, giving a turn with each end of the wire to form the base of the ring.
Luego de hacer la base del anillo pasamos a fijar mejor la piedra y damos vueltas alrededor de esta, unas dos vueltas estuvo bien.
After making the base of the ring, we fix the stone better and we go around it, about two turns was fine.
Sacamos luego la brocha y a cada lado de la piedra vamos a enrollar los restantes de alambre que nos han quedado. Comenzamos enrollando con los dedos y al final nos ayudamos con la pinza punta larga para apretar.
Then we take out the brush and on each side of the stone we are going to roll the remaining wire that we have left. We start winding with our fingers and at the end we help ourselves with the long tip tweezers to tighten.
Luego de rematar cualquier punta que sobresalga con la pinza para enrollar, hemos terminado un sencillo pero muy lindo anillo.
After finishing off any protruding ends with the rolling pliers, we have finished a simple but very nice ring.
Admiro mucho las personas que se dedican a hacer este tipo de prendas, debo decir que es la primera vez que hago uno y durante el proceso aprecié la importancia de contar con las herramientas adecuadas, ya que aunque la brocha ayuda, se me hizo un poco engorroso fijar la piedra y dar las vueltas, también porque el tamaño de esta era un poco grande, así mismo el alambre, dado el tamaño de la piedra era un poco delgado. Mas aún me gustó mucho el resultado final. Espero que también sea de su agrado.

I admire very much the people who are dedicated to make this kind of garments, I must say that it is the first time I make one and during the process I appreciated the importance of having the right tools, because although the brush helps, it was a little cumbersome to fix the stone and give the turns, also because the size of this was a little big, likewise the wire, given the size of the stone was a little thin.
