Feliz lunes de aguja amigos en @needleworkmonday, espero hayan pasado un excelente fin de semana y que esta semana sea de muchas cosas lindas y mucha creatividad para compartir y disfrutar. Como alguna vez les comenté mi madre fue costurera en mi pueblo natal, realizaba belleza y mientras estuvo con nosotros le hizo una bata a mi suegra que a mi suegra le encantaba y hasta rota estaba de tantos años de uso, pero mi suegra no quería desecharla, ahora soy yo quien le hace las batas a mi suegra y encontré esa batica rota y la guarde, porque dije que en alguna oportunidad le haría una igual y este fue el momento, acá les muestro el proceso.

As I mentioned before, my mother was a seamstress in my hometown. She created beautiful things, and while she was with us, she made a robe for my mother-in-law that she loved. It was worn out from so many years of use, but my mother-in-law didn't want to throw it away. Now I'm the one who makes my mother-in-law's robes, and I found that torn robe and kept it, because I said that someday I would make her a new one, and now was the time. Here I'll show you the process.

Corté y cosí la parte superior delantera que consta de dos piezas forradas y lleva un leve cruce en la parte del centro.

I cut and sewed the front upper part, which consists of two lined pieces and has a slight crossover in the center.

Hice un pequeño faralao que usaría justo en la unión de la pieza del busto que hice en la parte anterior, con la pieza de abajo de la parte delantera de la bata.

Lo siguiente y que no puede faltar en una bata para mi suegra son los bolsillos, porque ella dice que necesita llevar las llaves y el dinero cuando va a la bodega jajajja. Entonces corté dos cuadrados hice sus bordes y luego ubiqué el lugar para coserlos de manera que quedaran bien alineados, esta parte me cuesta que queden a la misma altura.

Como ya tenía la parte delantera lista pasé a unir por los hombros la pieza trasera que es una sola con la delantera de la bata, hice costuras por los costados y ruedo.

Para terminar así esta linda réplica de la bata que mi madre hizo a mi suegra hace unos 15 años atrás, ella quedó encantada y feliz por su bata.

Este proyecto fue muy emotivo para mí fue recordar a mi madre que ya no está conmigo y hacer algo para mi suegra que es una persona muy importante para mí por lo bella persona que es conmigo. Este tipo de batas son muy lindas no son para dormir son para estar en casa y como dice mi suegra hasta para ir a la bodega. espero a ustedes también les haya gustado amig@s nos leemos pronto.

Qué linda te ha quedado la batica, mi mamá solía coserme prendas y yo con el tiempo empecé a agarrar su máquina de coser para hacer faldas y tops, hace años no he vuelto a tocar una máquina de coser pero no me han faltado las ganas de comprarme una, se siente bastante libre poder hacer tu propia ropa y para tus seres queridos :)

Esa réplica se ve muy bien hecha y este modelo de batas siempre me han gustado mucho, i mean, no soy abuelita pero siempre me gusto mucho la ropa de mi abuelita materna, de hecho cuando falleció fue lo único que pedí (y su escapulario), una de sus batas, una rosada de corte muy similar a esta de color azul 💙

Gracias por compartir también esta anécdota familiar tan bonita, ojala en esta nueva generación volvamos a ver destrezas y oficios como antes (costura, bordado, dibujo, etc) 🐣 🧶

Mi abuelita materna también usaba solo este tipo de batas que se las hacía mi mamá, ahora yo y espero que mi hija adquiera este maravilloso Don, que bueno que te ha gustado y más que te haya hecho traer a tu mente recuerdos tan preciados. saludos y gracias por comentar.
