Today I want to share with you a new discovery in my life and that is that I also feel like a cat aunt thanks to this cute kitty.
Last year I had the wonderful experience of being a "cat grandma " for the first time with our kitty París, however, it wasn't until now that I realized that I also had the love of a "cat aunt ".
Almost two years ago, Jorge Luis, my brother-in-law's cousin, took to Grandma Mirian's house a kitten that he found one afternoon in the street on his way to work.
A baby kitten, who meowed hungry and scared, but when she arrived she was accepted, cared for and fed by her new family.
The first months Jorge was in care of his kitten, however, for personal reasons he had to move to another city in the country and could not take her with him; "michu" as she was called because she had no name, she stayed with her grandmother Mirian, who from her experience has taken care of her with much love and respect. Grandma called her Chepina, associating it to her second name which is Josefina.
From that moment on, my attention to Chepina became more interested, I constantly asked about her, her vaccinations, what she ate and how she was, I felt very identified with her coexistence and my apprenticeship with París.
This New Year's Eve in December 2023 while the other pets were sheltered in one of the rooms, she refused to be there, she came out into the living room and joined us all as we celebrated the New Year. She was a bit scared, perched under the rocking chair, from that spot she watched us carefully and despite the noise, voices and music, her preference was still to be there and not in the room.

El año pasado tuve la maravillosa experiencia de ser por primera vez una “abuela gatuna” con nuestra gatita París, sin embargo, no fue hasta ahora que me di cuenta que también surgió en mí, el amor de una “tía gatuna”
Hace casi dos años atrás, Jorge Luis, primo de mi cuñado, llevo a la casa de la Abuela Mirian una gatita que se encontró una tarde en la calle, cuando iba de camino de su jornada laboral diaria.
Una gatita bebe, que maullaba hambrienta y asustada, pero cuando llego fue aceptada, atendida y alimentada por su nueva familia.
Los primeros meses Jorge estuvo en atención a su gatita, sin embargo, por temas personales tuvo que mudarse a otra ciudad del país y no se la podía llevar; “michu” como le decían porque no tenía nombre, se quedó con la abuela Mirian, quien desde su experiencia la ha cuidado con mucho amor y respeto. La abuela la llamo Chepina, asociándolo a su segundo nombre que es Josefina.
A partir de ese momento, mi atención a Chepina cobro mayor interés, preguntaba constantemente por ella, por sus vacunas, que comía y como estaba, me sentí muy identificada con su convivencia y mi aprendizaje con París.
Este fin de año en diciembre 2023 mientras las otras mascotas estaban resguardados en uno de los cuartos, ella se reusó a estar allí, salió a la sala y nos acompañó a todos mientras celebrábamos el año nuevo. Estaba algo asustada, se posó debajo de la mecedora, de ese lugar nos observaba cuidadosamente y a pesar del ruido, las voces y la música, su preferencia seguía siendo estar allí y no en el cuarto.
