La semana pasada estuvo muy lluviosa y acercándose el día de nuestra practica semanal de yoga, mis amigos y yo teníamos la incertidumbre de si podríamos o no hacerla.

Al llegar el día, desde temprano en la mañana cuando aún lloviznaba, comenzamos a escribir por el grupo de whatsApp activándonos a ver si tendríamos la clase, todos pendientes de si cambiaba el clima.

Last week was very rainy and with the day of our weekly yoga practice approaching, my friends and I were uncertain whether or not we would be able to make it.

When the day arrived, early in the morning when it was still drizzling, we started writing on the whatsApp group activating each other to see if we would have the class, all pending if the weather changed.

La practica la hacemos al aire libre, así que el haber llovido toda la noche y que aun estuviera nublado no era opción para que ese día fuéramos al parque. Sin embargo… allí estábamos, porque sabemos que el yoga es más que una práctica, es un estilo de vida que nos proporciona innumerables beneficios. 😃

La grama estaba totalmente mojada, aunque ya estaba dejado de llover, todo el lugar estaba encharcado, así que decidimos resguardarnos en uno de los espacios donde funciona uno de los cafetines del parque y aunque era un espacio pequeño nos organizamos para comenzar.

We practice outdoors, so the fact that it rained all night and it was still cloudy was not an option for us to go to the park that day. However... we were there, because we know that yoga is more than a practice, it is a lifestyle that provides us with countless benefits. 😃

The grass was totally wet, although it had stopped raining, the whole place was waterlogged, so we decided to take shelter in one of the spaces where one of the cafes in the park operates and although it was a small space, we organized ourselves to start.

Cuando estábamos a mitad de los ejercicios llego el dueño o encargado del lugar, quien de manera grosera nos mandó a desalojar, la verdad es que no sabemos que carga trae cada persona para tan temprano ser tan agresiva. Vivimos en un mundo con tantos estímulos y en un constante vivir acelerado que esta práctica nos permite mejorar nuestra estabilidad emocional; la energía que proporciona y la vibra definitivamente no eran compatible con el individuo.

When we were in the middle of the exercises, the owner or manager of the place arrived, who rudely ordered us to leave, the truth is that we do not know what burden each person brings to be so aggressive so early in the morning. We live in a world with so many stimuli and in a constant accelerated life that this practice allows us to improve our emotional stability; the energy it provides and the vibe were definitely not compatible with the individual.

Sin embargo, como nuestra actitud era otra, le dijimos que no se preocupara que ya nos retirábamos, no había manera que eso nos afectara, tomamos nuestros mat y bolsos, y nos despedimos disculpándonos y deseándole un feliz día.😊 Con postura de apenado nos respondió en voz baja y con la cabeza abajo sin levantar la mirada si quiera…

However, as our attitude was different, we told him not to worry that we were leaving, there was no way that would affect us, we took our mats and bags, and we said goodbye apologizing and wishing him a happy day.😊 With a saddened posture he answered us in a low voice and with his head down without looking up...

Nos fuimos caminando en busca de otro lugar en el parque, recorrimos varios de los kioskos que alquilan para las fiestas y todos estaban muy mojados.🙁

We walked around looking for another place in the park, we visited several of the kiosks that they rent for parties and they were all very wet.🙁

Finalmente encontramos uno que estaba parcialmente seco y como pudimos nos ubicamos para continuar; con la gran bendición que llegaron dos empleados del parque, unos señores muy amables, con sus escobas y nos dijeron que lo secarían para que pudiéramos hacer nuestra actividad, estábamos súper agradecidos por eso.

Finally we found one that was partially dry and as we were able to we located ourselves to continue; with the great blessing that two employees of the park arrived, some very kind gentlemen, with their brooms and told us that they would dry it so we could do our activity, we were super grateful for that.

Ya se estaba despejando el cielo y las nubes dejaban ver el verde de la montaña, logramos terminar la práctica y hacer la relajación sintiendo el calor del sol, se escuchaban los pájaros, el olor a tierra mojada, la paz que se siente al estar en ese lugar nos ayuda a conectarnos con nosotros mismos, a liberar tensiones y estrés; hacer yoga nos proporciona bienestar corporal, mental y espiritual. Además el poder hacerlo al aire libre nos permite disfrutar de un bello paisaje y respirar aire puro.

The sky was already clearing and the clouds let us see the green of the mountain, we were able to finish the practice and relax feeling the warmth of the sun, listening to the birds, the smell of wet earth, the peace you feel being in that place helps us to connect with ourselves, to release tension and stress; doing yoga provides us with physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing. Besides, being able to do it outdoors allows us to enjoy a beautiful landscape and breathe fresh air.

He podido ver que no solo tenemos la posibilidad de tener una buena salud en nuestras vidas, sino que además ha creado unos vínculos maravillosos entre el grupo y que pudimos comprobar ese día con nuestra asistencia. La práctica con amigos, familiares o compañeros nos ayuda a conectarnos más con ellos y las clases suelen ser más dinámicas y divertidas.

I have been able to see that not only do we have the ability to have good health in our lives, but it has also created wonderful bonds among the group and we were able to see that day with our attendance. Practicing with friends, family or colleagues helps us to connect more with them and the classes are usually more dynamic and fun.

Al terminar, ya con esa sensación de bienestar nos fuimos caminando y conversando de lo importante del compromiso, el lograr superar los obstáculos para alcanzar el objetivo, adaptarnos a las circunstancias, ser resilientes ante los cambios, no dejar que la buena energía se vea afectada por otras personas y finalmente disfrutar haciendo lo que nos gusta, donde queremos y fortaleciendo los vínculos que nos une como grupo.

At the end, with that feeling of wellbeing, we left walking and talking about the importance of commitment, overcoming obstacles to achieve the objective, adapting to the circumstances, being resilient to changes, not letting the good energy be affected by other people and finally enjoying doing what we like, where we want and strengthening the bonds that unite us as a group.
