Hola mis amigos de HIVE, he vuelto con ustedes en este día para seguir contándoles acerca de la restauración de mi casa, que como les comente en el post anterior tuve que hacerle unas cuantas cositas antes de pintar, pues la humedad y el tiempo las va carcomiendo poco a poco. Les dije que había tenido que raspar las paredes de toda la casa y ahí es donde comenzó el verdadero problema.

Debajo de toda aquella pintura que quite, había una sorpresa más grande que solo pintura, pues en las partes bajas de la pared el repello se caía solo, tipo un polvillo, pues esas casas son bien antiguas y el repello se hacía con yeso, así que la propia humedad lo ablanda y se vuelve polvo y se desmorona, así que tuve que tapar algunos oyos que se me hicieron en casi todas las habitaciones en la pared, así como resanar algunos huecos que también aparecieron en el techo por el óxido de las cabillas de la placa.

Bueno, pensé que iba a ser fácil, pero todo poco a poco se complica ha, ha, ha, busqué arena, cemento, cocoa y todo lo necesario para repararlo todo, y como siempre soy tan desesperada para resolver los problemas que me ocurren en el camino, pues agarre todo y me dispuse a hacerlo yo misma, preparé la mezcla, busqué en internet la proporción de arena, cemento y cocoa que llevaba y puse manos a la obra.

Primeramente mojé con una esponja el lugar donde iba a trabajar, y con una cuchara y no precisamente de albañilería, pues iba tirando la mezcla y a la vez emparejándolo ayudada por la cuchara y la esponja que bueno no les puedo negar que para ser la primera vez que hago de albañil, pues la verdad no me quedo tan mal ji, ji, ji.

Fueron días agotadores, pues la verdad este tipo de trabajos cansa un poco, pero bueno, todo lo que uno quiere hacer en la vida, requiere algo de sacrificio, así que para lograr algo hay que esforzarse. Todo estuvo bien hasta la parte en que me tocó arreglar los huecos del techo, pues la verdad soy muy bajita y ni subiéndome en algo alcanzaba, así que requerí de la ayuda de mi servicial suegro, que siempre que le pido ayuda, ahí está para mí.

Bueno mi suegro en otras ocasiones me ha hecho otros trabajitos de este tipo y la verdad que le quedan muy buenos. Mi esposo vino con él y entre los dos comenzaron a arreglar el techo, que por suerte no era tanto. Buscamos una escalera para poder subir y desde esta altura, pues terminaron la tarea que yo había comenzado de resanar todas la partes malas que habían por toda la casa.

Del reguero ni contarles, el cemento siempre ensucia por donde quiera que pasa haciendo que haya que bardiar, también haciendo esto en medio de algunos apagones que también retrasaban el proceso, pues mi casa es muy oscura, aunque también dio tiempo para preparar meriendas para alimentarnos y descansar un poco.

Al final del día, ya solo quedaba esperar a que se secara para comenzar con la pintura, lo deje varios días para que se secara bien, y poder pintar, aunque creo que esa historia se queda para la próxima, al igual que la decoración que le puse al cuarto para que quedara más bonito.

Ya me despido de ustedes, no sin antes decirle que estoy muy contenta con el resultado obtenido, pues cada día iba rematando en la casa, todos aquellos signos de envejecimiento que tenía, logrando obtener al final un gran resultado, el cual les muestro en mi próximo post. I told you that I had to scrape the walls of the whole house and that is where the real problem began.

Under all that paint that I removed, there was a bigger surprise than just paint, because in the lower parts of the wall the plaster was falling off by itself, like a dust, because those houses are very old and the plaster was made with plaster, so the humidity itself softens it and it becomes dust and crumbles, so I had to cover some holes that were made in almost all the rooms in the wall, as well as repair some holes that also appeared in the ceiling by the rust of the plate rafters.

Well, I thought it was going to be easy, but everything little by little gets complicated ha, ha, ha, ha, I looked for sand, cement, cocoa and everything needed to repair everything, and as I am always so desperate to solve the problems that occur to me on the road, I grabbed everything and I set out to do it myself, I prepared the mixture, I looked on the internet the proportion of sand, cement and cocoa that I had and I got down to work.

First I wet with a sponge the place where I was going to work, and with a spoon and not exactly a masonry spoon, I was throwing the mixture and at the same time I was making it even helped by the spoon and the sponge that well I can not deny that for being the first time I do masonry, well the truth is that it was not so bad ji, ji, ji, ji.

They were exhausting days, because the truth is that this kind of work is a little tiring, but well, everything you want to do in life requires some sacrifice, so to achieve something you have to make an effort. Everything was fine until the part where I had to fix the holes in the roof, because the truth is that I am very short and not even getting up on something was enough, so I needed the help of my helpful father-in-law, who is always there for me whenever I ask for help.

Well, my father-in-law has done other jobs of this kind in the past and they are really good. My husband came with him and between the two of them they started to fix the roof, which fortunately was not that much. We looked for a ladder to be able to climb up and from this height, they finished the task that I had started of repairing all the bad parts that were all over the house.

I don't even need to tell you about the dripping, the cement always gets dirty wherever it goes, making it necessary to sweep, also doing this in the middle of some blackouts that also delayed the process, because my house is very dark, although it also gave time to prepare snacks to feed us and rest a little.

At the end of the day, the only thing left was to wait for it to dry to start painting, I left it for several days to dry well, and to be able to paint, although I think that story is for the next one, as well as the decoration that I put in the room to make it look nicer.

I say goodbye to you, but not before telling you that I am very happy with the result obtained, because every day I was finishing off at home, all those signs of aging that I had, achieving in the end a great result, which I will show you in my next post.
