A pesar de las preocupaciones y expectativas, todavía nos llegan buenas noticias. ¿Cuál es una buena noticia reciente que haya recibido? Si ha pasado un tiempo, ¿qué tipo de buenas noticias te harían realmente feliz en este momento?
Sentir que el mundo sigue avanzando aunque una parte de nosotros sigue ahí debajo de tantos escombros, un día más o un día menos para quienes esperan ser rescatados o noticias de un ser querido desaparecido, me es imposible escribir o hablar de lo sucedido en nuestro país, vengo de muchas emociones seguidas empezando por el terremoto que sacudió nuestro país, vivo en el oriente de Venezuela, no sentí ningún movimiento telurico aunque fue sentido en varias partes del país, seguido a ese desastre vivimos la bendición del nacimiento de otro miembro en la familia, noticia bonita que estábamos viviendo por 38 semanas, era esperado con ansias ese acontecimiento nació mi segunda nieta Jade Victoria, nos habíamos preparado para recibir y vivir esta gran bendición con mucha celebración, alegria, paramos vivimos este evento como algo normal, nos reunimos para rezar, orar, colaborar y pedir a Dios por quienes hoy están viviendo perdidas materiales y físicas, teniendo miedo, incertidumbre sin saber que viene después.

Despite the worries and expectations, good news still reaches us. What's a recent piece of good news you've received? If it's been a while, what kind of good news would truly make you happy right now?
Feeling that the world keeps moving forward even though a part of us remains buried beneath so much rubble, one more day or one less for those waiting to be rescued or for news of a missing loved one, makes it impossible for me to write or speak about what has happened in our country. I'm overwhelmed with emotions, starting with the earthquake that shook our nation. I live in eastern Venezuela, and I didn't feel any tremors, although they were felt in various parts of the country. Following that disaster, we experienced the blessing of the birth of another member of the family, beautiful news we had been waiting for for 38 weeks. This event was eagerly awaited: the birth of my second granddaughter, Jade Victoria. We had prepared to receive and experience this great blessing with much celebration and joy. We experienced this event as something normal, gathering to pray, to help, and to ask God for those who are currently experiencing material and physical losses, living with fear and uncertainty, not knowing what comes next.

Desde luego que también agradecer por la vida de Jade Victoria por sus padres y el de toda la familia, su nacimiento nos unió más como familia y aunque fue algo discreto y en silencio tuvimos mucha bondad, presencia y empatia de parte de la familia, fue algo que no pudimos dejar de lado de un todo sin embargo no dejamos de sentirnos culpables de ser felices en este momento, tampoco la felicidad es completa donde hay mucho dolor en el aire, se que poco a poco todo volverá a encajar nuevamente.

Of course, we are also grateful for Jade Victoria's life, for her parents, and for the entire family. Her birth brought us closer together as a family, and although it was something discreet and quiet, we received a lot of kindness, presence, and empathy from the family. It was something we couldn't completely ignore; however, we can't help but feel guilty for being happy at this moment. Happiness isn't complete where there is so much pain in the air. I know that little by little, everything will fall back into place.

Una noticia que me gustaría recibir en este momento es que se siguen recuperando vidas debajo de los escombros, que los niños rescatados con vida sin sus padres consigan un techo, familia un lugar seguro que los cobije, que el gobierno actúal haga acto de presencia en sentido literal que se aboque para apoyar a los damnificados, necesitan fe, esperanza pero también mucha ayuda económica, es fácil decir lo material se recupera pero estamos en Venezuela y en el peor momento económico de toda la historia, ellos también necesitan certezas de que la vida va a continuar.

One piece of news I would like to receive right now is that lives are still being recovered from under the rubble, that the children rescued alive without their parents find shelter, a family, a safe place to take them in, that the current government makes a real appearance and dedicates itself to supporting the victims. They need faith, hope, but also a lot of financial help. It's easy to say material things can be replaced, but we are in Venezuela and in the worst economic crisis in its history. They also need reassurance that life will go on.
