Lemon tree spider. / Araña del limonero.

Hello! How are you my friends? I hope it's ok! Today I share some photos I took of a very rare spider. I had never seen it and was very surprised when I found it.

Hola! Cómo están mis amigos? Espero que bien! Hoy les comparto unas fotos que tomé de una araña muy rara. Nunca la había visto y quedé muy sorprendida cuando la encontré.

This afternoon I decided to take some macro photos and as you know, the ones I like the most are the ones of insects.

Está tarde decidí sacar algunas fotos macro y como ya sabrán, las que más me gustan son las de insectos.

The problem is that now that we are in autumn and it is cold, it is not easy to find them. This is why I started looking among the plants in my garden and when I was already thinking of giving up because I couldn't find anything, I noticed something moving among the leaves of my African aloe.

El problema es que ahora que estamos en otoño y hace frío no es fácil encontrarlos. Es por ésto que me puse a buscar entre las plantas de mi jardín y cuando ya pensaba de renunciar porque no encontraba nada, noté algo que se movía entre las hojas de mi aloe africana.

It was not easy to detect the little spider, because it was green like the leaf. It was completely camouflaged with its surroundings. I had never seen that kind of spider. Its body was round and thick while its legs and head were striped brown and black.

No fué fácil detectar la arañita, pues era verde como la hoja. Era completamente camuflada con su entorno. Nunca había visto ese tipo de araña. Su cuerpo era redondo y espeso mientras sus patas y cabeza eran a rayas marrón y negro.

Out of curiosity I found out what spider it was and discovered that its scientific name is "Araneus lathyrinus" but it is commonly called the lemon tree spider.

Por curiosidad averigüé que araña era y descubrí que su nombre científico es "Araneus lathyrinus" pero viene comúnmente llamada araña del limonero.
