My collection of Chinese vases: Hòu Yi/ Mi colección de jarrones chinos: Hòu Yi [ENG/ESP]

I haven't told you about my collection of Chinese vases in a long time. For those who are new, I will tell you that in addition to other collections of various types, one of my favorites is ceramics, especially Chinese vases.

I like both aesthetically and the story that each one of them tells. Yes. They understood well, because the Chinese are people of a lot of culture, and it is not that in a vase they are going to draw something without any meaning just because it is beautiful. Each design, each of them has a history and interpretation, and I love that, I did not study art history for nothing.

So, like the previous times, also today I chose one of my vases and I will tell you what its figures talk about.

Today's vase in Chinese is called "Hòu Yi", which translated means "Descendants".

Hace bastante tiempo que no les hablo de mi colección de jarrones chinos. Para los que son nuevos, les cuento que además de otras colecciones de varios tipos, una de mis preferidas son las cerámicas, en especial los jarrones chinos.

Me gustan sea estéticamente que la historia que cuenta cada uno de ellos. Si. Entendieron bien, porque los Chinos son gente de mucha cultura, y no es que en un jarrón van a dibujar algo sin ningún sentido solo porque es bello. Cada diseño, de cada uno de ellos tiene una historia e interpretación, y a mi me encanta eso, no por nada estudié historia del arte.

Entonces, como las veces anteriores, también hoy elegí uno de mis jarrones y les contaré de que hablan sus figuras.

El jarrón de hoy en Chino se llama "Hòu Yi", que traducido quiere decir "Descendientes".

With its square base and tall, subtle shape, the "Hòu Yi" vase is an example of elegance.

Painted in different heights, three lotus flowers decorate this vase.

At each level of height, belongs a level of maturation of the flower.

Starting from the lowest level we find a bud, in the center of the vase we find a semi-open flower and to finish at the top a mature flower with its interior full of seeds.

Con su base cuadrada y su forma alta y sutil, el jarrón "Hòu Yi" es un ejemplo de elegancia.

Pintadas en distintas alturas, tres flores de loto decoran embellezen este jarrón.

A cada nivel de altura, pertenece un nivel de maduración de la flor.

Empezando del nivel más bajo encontramos un pimpollo, al centro del jarrón en cambio encontramos una flor semi abierta y para terminar en alto una flor madura con su interior lleno de semillas.

All of this is compared to human life. Childhood, youth and adulthood of man. Its seeds represent the descendants.

Todo esto viene comparado a la vida humana. La infancia, la juventud y la edad adulta del hombre. Sus semillas representan los desendientes.

In the figures we notice how voluminous and beautiful flowers contrast with the ends of the stems.

Such delicacy does not have to deceive us, since the stem of the lotus is made of very strong fibers and it is almost impossible to pull them out. How to say that grace must unite with force.

En las figuras notamos como voluminosas y bellas flores contrastan con los fines tallos.
Tanta delicadeza no tiene que engañarnos, pues el tallo del loto es de fibras muy fuertes y es casi imposible poder arrancarlos. Cómo decir, que la gracia deve unirse a la fuerza.

Year after year, the beauty of the lotus flower returns. Generation after generation, the strength of the family is renewed. And like lotus seeds, the descendants of the human race will carry on life.

Año tras año, la belleza de la flor de loto vuelve. Generación tras generación, la fuerza de la familia se renueva. Y como semillas de loto, los desendientes de la raza humana llevarán adelante la vida.
