Rajshahi central zoo

I live in Rajshahi district of Bangladesh for the sake of studying. When I came to Rajshahi in the first year, I heard that there is a zoo in Rajshahi, but unfortunately is was closed for the reconstruction.

The zoo has been recently opened to the general public, but except for the bird and deer cages, all the cages are empty.

Although the cages are not full of animals and birds, the zoo is full of people most days. This zoo is often used as a picnic spot as there is a children's park.

Rajshahi Central Park and Zoo has been developed over 32.76 acres of erstwhile race course grounds along the banks of the Padma. The distance of the zoo from Rajshahi city is only 4.2 km. Along with the zoo, the construction of a children's park is also completed here. As a result, the Rajshahi Central Zoo came to be known as Shaheed A.Η.Μ. Kamruzzaman Central Park & ​​Zoo.

At the main entrance gate of the zoo, there is a giant sculpture of a giraffe and a fountain of the mermaid.

Shaded by various flowers, fruits and medicinal plants, the park has a small lake with various beautiful sculptures and aesthetic bridges.

Apart from this, the park has several interesting rides including paddle boat, Nagar Dola to entertain the visitors.

Entrance fee and schedule:

Rajshahi Central Park and Zoo is open daily from 10 am to 5 pm. Anyone can enter here by paying 25 taka per person. However, a separate fee is required for the picnic spot.
