T- badh
Rajshahi is a divisional city in the northern region of Bangladesh. Padma river surrounds this city. In every season of the year, this river is surrounded by human traffic. The flow of the river and the pure air is a favorite place for everyone from children to old people. Everyone comes here to celebrate various festivals.
Several dams have been built around the Padma river across Rajshahi city. One such dam is the T-badh. It is basically shaped like the English letter T. The place occupies the place of one of the entertainment centers of the divisional city of Rajshahi.
The chirping of birds and the southern breeze at sunrise in the morning will brighten anyone's mind.
At twilight, the crimson sun gives a new look to the water of the river. It is well known and quite popular among the local and distant travelers. Ever since the dam was built, its nature and beauty have fascinated everyone. Let's know some more details about T-badh.
This "T" is clearly understood by the bird's eyeview.
Usually the place looks more beautiful after afternoon.
Various foods are available. Jhalmuri, guava pickle, phuchka, velpuri, juice, gola and many more.
You can go through a sand field on the side and reach the bank of the river.
Many beautiful pictures can be taken through the big grass.
Chills can be seen in the sky.
On the other side of the river is the border of Bangladesh and India.
There is also an opportunity to explore the river by renting a boat.
How to go to the T- badh?
Reaching Rajshahi by road, rail and air, battery-powered auto-rickshaws or rickshaws can be used to reach Padma River T-dam in a short time. Buses leave for Rajshahi every half hour from Dhaka. You can come by Desh, Gramin, Hanif Travels and Shyamli. Currently you have to pay Rs 600 as a fare for non-AC buses. AC bus fares vary from Tk 800 to Tk 1000 depending on the bus.
Apart from this, if you want to come by rail, there are Silk City, Padma, Dhumketu and Banalta Express trains from Dhaka Kamalapur Railway Station. Banaltay Shobhan chair ticket price is 375 taka and others 340 taka. In case of railways, one has to pay about 600 to more than 1000 rupees for AC berth or sleeper. Apart from this, one can arrive and alight at Shah Makhdoom Airport in Rajshahi by air.
From every corner from Rajshahi you can reach T- badh city by auto. It's a crowded place but a visitable place from my point of view.
