Another Snowy Morning

Woke up to this. Time to take the canopy fabric and the patio furniture inside today. In fact I did that in the morning. The canopy itself requires four people to carry it but the fabric is now in the garage.

It has started to melt a bit. This is very, very unlikely to be the start of the snowy season. That's likely to begin maybe 6-7 weeks from now. But you never know these days. We could have another very warm winter like the last one.

Late October is when people change winter tires on their cars. It's the safest option because November can be treacherous. You never know when you get night frost and black ice on the roads in the morning. It does feel somewhat wasteful to drive with the typical winter tires with metal studs on them on a dry road surface but it would be impractical to change your tires or have them changed for you on a very short notice. In the typical December, the roads and streets are already icy and snowy enough to fully warrant the use of winter tires.

It feels exactly the same as sitting in a car that has regular tyres on it. :)

Beautiful! We're not there yet, but getting there. I keep hearing we're going to have a really harsh winter, I hope everyone is wrong. I love winter, but it just lasts too long where I am 🤣
