After several days of absence, I return to you like the prodigal son seeking the warmth of home.

Today is a day when I can only commune with my verses.
Here I present this sonnet and I hope you like it.

NOTHING

I am not yet master of myself,
nor do I trust my feet, for I help them,
it is a sinister fear that overwhelms me.
or is it just a product of delirium?

Presumption gives power to the ego.
When discerning, the voice commands me to be silent,
never to lose you. How I cling!
and sincerity, a futile detail.

To name you—over the years—absolute
owner, of my nights and my bed,
is that I give my existence as a tribute

and my inner voice no longer calls me.
I don't forget heartbreak, I enjoy it
if it's from you. My stillness perhaps loves you.

No soy dueña aun, ni de mí misma
ni confió en mis pies, pues los auxilio,
es un temor nefasto que me abisma.
o es tan solo producto del delirio

La presunción, le da poder al ego.
al discernir, la voz manda que calle,
no perderte jamás ¡Como me apego!
y la sinceridad, fútil detalle.

Nombrarte —con los años—absoluto
propietario, de mis noches y mi cama,
es que doy mi existir como tributo

y mi voz interior ya no me llama.
desamor y no olvido, lo disfruto
si es de ti. Mi quietud quizás te ama.
