Creative nonfiction: Choice, Jackpot And Dreams
I had just moved to a new city, filled with excitement and anticipation for all the new adventures that awaited me. My siblings, who were already based there, kindly offered to show me around and introduce me to the city. But on the terms that I was funding the adventure I was eager to explore and experience everything this new place had to offer. The hustle and bustle of the streets, the bright lights that glowed in the streets at night and the endless possibilities I could possibly get. All these and more around me sent an adrenaline rush through my veins. I couldn't wait to explore every inch of this new place, to discover its hidden gems and to make memories that would last a lifetime. So I agreed to their terms besides they were students and not working yet so I knew they didn't have money.
As we traveled from one corner of the city to the other, I couldn't help but feel a sense of freedom and possibility.
But as the days went by, I began to feel the weight of my expenses. I had spent a lot of money on transportation, food and entertainment, and my savings were quickly running low. I didn't want to burden my siblings with my financial struggles, so I kept quiet about my situation.
One day, my brother called me with some exciting news. He had won a huge amount of money from sports betting, and he wanted me to join in on the action. I had never played sports betting before, but the prospect of winning a large sum of money was too tempting to resist. I gave my brother some money to play for me, and waited anxiously for the results.
A few weeks later, my brother called me with the news that I had nearly won a huge amount of money from sports betting. My heart raced as I imagined all the things I could do with that money. If I had just won that huge amount of money, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. I wanted to invest in something that would not only bring me financial gain, but also personal fulfillment. I wanted to create something that would benefit not only myself, but also my community.
The first thing I would have done was to invest in setting up a unisex saloon. I had always been passionate about investing in something that yields income daily and hair and beauty salon was one of them. I knew the struggle I had to pass through to find a barber that could cut my hair like a professional after I had relocated. From where I am based there's not much high-quality salon that offers a wide range of services for both men and women. I could see the potential for this business to thrive and grow, and I knew that it would be a great investment for the long-term. Also I would be an employer of labor.
I had also wanted to invest in cryptocurrency and real estate. I have been following the crypto market for a long while, and I knew that it had the potential to yield high returns although it has its risks. I also know that investing in real estate was a smart move, as it was a tangible asset that would appreciate in value over time. Both of these investments would have provided me with a steady stream of passive income, allowing me to live a financially secure life.
I wanted to further my education. This is one of the top priorities on my list. I have always been curious and eager to learn more about the business world, and I knew that a higher degree in business management would teach me the rudiments of business and would open many doors for me. I will pursue a Masters degree in business management, to gain the knowledge and skills that I need to become the successful entrepreneur that I want to be.
In short, I have chosen these investments because I believe it will bring me financial gain, personal fulfillment, and it will also benefit my community.
But then, one of the games in my sports betting tickets was not the correct prediction, and I had not won the big prize. So my dreams still remain valid but not accomplished. I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead of me and I am ready to work hard to make my dreams a reality.

Very wise investments to make 🤔 I especially love the idea of a hair salon. You should never undermine the value of a trusted barber.
Good luck to you with your future dreams! ✨

It is really sad to feel close to your dreams and then find out something is/ was wrong. But, opening a hair saloon is really way to go. I guess it is really universal because in my country, I see these beauty centers are full the day and the night. I hope you can achieve that in ample time 🙏🏻🙏🏻 It is a good plan 👍🏻
