Children’s Day In Nigeria: The Kids We Were Meant To Celebrate Are In Captivity.

The weather has been somehow for over a week now, and we have some innocent children out there in the bushes, the kids that were k!dnapped. Let's even say the weather is good, does anyone deserve to be in an unsafe place with unsafe, and inhumane individuals like b@ndits and k!dnappers.

And here's the country, moving on and acting like nothing happened. Especially our leaders and so called President. Some of this abduc+ed and kidnapped children are infants, some are less than 3 years of age, some less than 10year old and here we are acting as if....I dont even know. I understand that all of those happenings have so much messed with us that we just don't want to dwell on it anymore, its starting to make us less ona human, and we shouldn't give in to it. We see humans first before anything else.

We are humans before tribe, religion, ethnicity, color, and race. Enough of our silence and unconcerned attitude. It has become the order of they day, yes. But we shouldn't keep silent and keep allowing it.

Yesterday was children's day, a day that's meant to be celebrated, instead everyone kept their kids under their roofs because of the situation of the country, some couldn't even celebrate it because they are saddened by the kids that were kidnapped. It was children's day, but those that the day was meant for are in the k!dnappers den suffering.

One of the teachers k!dnapped together with the school children was b3headed on a live video, yet nothing is still being done to it, and we still kept quiet. Even those that are in their homes are not safe anymore,. in short no where is safe at the moment... In a country that has leaders, terrorist operates at will.

Recently, a guy named Justice Crack was picked up by security operatives for something, here's why I'm sharing this. It came out later that they were able to get him because they jammed his phone, tracked him and were able to arrest him, he didn't commit any offense, he was just speaking up on the fact that soldiers should be well treated. So, they can jam a person's phone, track him, get his location and pick him up, but they can't deploy the same measures to arrest and take away all this terrorists, terrorist that have the effontery to do live videos, call, and even post online.....

This is not the first, second, or third kidnap, and it is just getting too much, still we can't keep quiet about it.

The nation itself has failed these children that were kidnapped, the security operatives have failed us, the government and our leaders have as well failed woefully at there main and primary assignment, which is to protect and safeguard the lives and properties of their citizens.

Please, don't let us get to accustomed with this happenings, I agree that it is messing with our mental health, but the more we try to overlook it the more it continues and the more we become less of a human, thereby losing what makes us humans... Compassion.

We all have a voice somewhere, even if our followers ain't much, let's still do well to say something about it. If not it will continue. Let's demand action, let's demand security, let's demand the safe return of this kids... Those were some parents children, you never know whose children, whose parents and which school it will be next.

This happenings are not normal, we shouldn't normalize it. And these leaders as well, should be asked to step down too... I just hope we will do better in the coming election, because this government in power is the worst thing that has happened to Nigeria. A country with the most people living in multidimensional poverty, the most unsafe country....

This is for the kids, they don't deserve to be there, they didn't offend anyone, no one should experience such, not kids, not adults... We as a nation needs help and we deserve better.

It breaks my heart to see what our nation has turned into and sometimes I can't blame the citizens entirely because there's something called fatigue. When people complain and call out the government for years without change, eventually they get exhausted.

It's our leaders who need to remain accountability to us in times like this. They promised protection of our lives and rights yet do everything to sabotage it. It's unfair, and even though it looks difficult right now, I hope those kids can be rescued and their perpetrators found. But when the government is uninterested in justice, what do we do?!

Huhm, you're right about that ma'am.
We don't even have a government anymore, and if we have one, all we have is a failed government. They've failed the citizens and they are failure themselves.
Just imagine all of these happenings, and even how this doers of evil find it easy to do stuffs online, yet they aren't doing anything about it. If a citizen come out to voice his or he opinion now, they know how to jam and track the phone, and they do same to this people.

I feel the president should just honorably step down... he's done enough already
