Will My Job Exist In 10 Years? Yes… If I Grow With It.

Well, before diving deep into the topic, I will love to answer the prompt question first. Will my job exist in 10year time? Yes, it will.

Now let's go into it fully. I'm actually into making various types na designs of frames. So, yes I believe my job will still exist in 10years time. The only things I can say is that, it might no longer be like this, but it will exist.

I'm saying that because, our work isn't like this 10years ago as well. Frames were in more simple forms then, and no special designs or frameworks and all. But today, we have name frames, frameless frame, glass frame, acrylic frame, and a lot of beautiful frames with different designs. In short, day in day out there are improvements and new designs and styles keep coming out.

Aside from frames, I also do other customized items. Like magic mugs, throw pillows, nylon and cloth brandings and all sort of customized work. And one thing I've come to realize is that people love things that are and feel personal. That's what you see them gifting each other such personal items, smh e during birthdays, weddings, and all kinds of celebrations.

And that is one of the many reasons I believe that my job will exist till then. There will be improvements, that is sure, so people will definitely keep on patronizing as long as there's a gift to give out and other stuffs to do.

Now, I've established and answered that my job will surely exist in 10years time, the actual question now is, will I grow and improve with it.

I say that because we are in the era of AI, and a lot of improvements are on already, some things are easier now, and some aren't. Even still, there's the need for a human touch, there's the need for me to also improve, and there's the need to stay updated as well.

So, the best thing I can do for myself is to never stop learning and researching on new trends, styles, and designs. If a better, easier or a more beautiful way comes out tomorrow, I must be ready for it too. A customer shouldn't bring work to me tomorrow and I will begin to wonder where he got that kind of design from and how I will go about it.

I believe that it will still exist in 10years time, just that it will have improved. Maybe tools, machines, and equipments and that don't even exist own will be available by then... But then, my son responsibility is to stay updated and not stop learning. So, even if the future comes with a change of any kind, I won't be found wanting.
