Fan-Art Illustration of Xander Foxwood. Splinterlands Weekly Art Contest.

Hey, Everyone.

How Are You All Today?

I'm back again with another one of my hand-drawn drawings. This one is also a fan-art drawing of a monster of @splinterands. The name of this monster is Xander Foxwood. I tried drawing it in a little bit of my style while keeping the major details similar. Hope it looks good. I drew it to participate in the weekly art contest arranged by SPLINTERLANDS. So, wish me luck and let's start talking about my art.

  • I'll be sharing all the steps of my drawing below and explain how I did it so it becomes easier for you to understand it and. I'll also include the link to this week's contest below so that you can check it out if this is the first time you're learning about it and feel interested.

  • As it is a fan art of a real splinterlands character, I really can't claim it as my creation. I tried my ideas and imagination to draw it and now share it with you all. The main objective is to share my idea with everyone and see if they like it or not while participating in the contest. I'll also share the image of the actual card to make it easier for you to compare both.

Tools:

  • A4-sized offset paper.
  • 2B pencil.
  • 4B pencil.
  • Colored Pencils.

My Drawing Steps:

  • First of all, I used a 2B pencil to draw out a structure base for my drawing. I drew the main lines of his body, including the hair shape. Then according to those main lines, I started using my coloured pencil to finalize the drawing step by step. First of all, I drew his eyebrows and eyes and then his full face. Normally I use watercolour to draw the skin tone. But, for this one, I used only my coloured pencils. I bought a new set of coloured pencils and tried them out. They can bring a soft and smooth texture, too.

  • In this step I completed his hair using the same coloured pencils just another colour. And after that, I started drawing his chest and then the other parts of the drawing.

  • Here in this part, I completed his dress, arms and the leaves on his clothes. I did them step by step. First of all, I drew his dress then the necklace, then his hands and then the leaves.
  • In this part I finished drawing his hand bracelets, sword, and weapons and completed drawing his clothing too. The drawing is now almost finished. Just need a small final touch.

Final Drawing

  • In this final part I gave the drawing a re-touch and completed the wings. Hope you like it.

I really hope that you liked my drawing and enjoyed reading my post. And as always I'm open to any suggestion or criticism. I always try to learn from them. And thanks to the @splinterlands team for arranging such a contest for the artists to show their skills.

Thank You.
