Practicing Fashion Illustration. Modern Girl in a Holiday.

Hi My Friends.

How are you?

I'm very glad that you liked all my previous works. This time I will be sharing a fashion illustration with you. It's something I'm practising to become a fashion designer. I currently have an institutional education in this sector. But, I'm learning from some online courses and hoping to open my own business after finishing. I've created a design just to share with you all. It took me a little more than I imagined to add all the details. Otherwise, I would've posted it yesterday. Now, let's just skip the extra topic and discuss my work.

My Drawing Process:

At first, I use a 2B pencil to draw the body structure of the drawing. I use a copy paper to finalize the drawing first. It helps me to figure out the right drawing without damaging my main art paper.

Though I mainly use coloured pencils to draw my drawings. But, in this one, I used watercolour first. This is to draw out the smooth parts like legs and hands. Because pencil colour always brings out a sharp and hard surface instead of smooth.

I then keep it as it is for a while and let the watercolour dry out. After that, I use my coloured pencils to draw the shades and detailed parts. I also did the hair fully with pencils.

And this came out as a final outcome. Took me a while though but I think it was worth the time. Ans I hope that you'll like it too.

I really really hope that my drawing was enough to match up to your liking. Thanks a lot for all your support and compliments. I was so much done with drawing and with life too. Working on this site and meeting with all these amazing people is the biggest inspiration of my life. Life is hard, but when I reach home and check the comments. I feel like this is all I need to boost up life's energy.

Thank You.

First time hearing about the idea of using both watercolour and pencil colour in the same drawing. but, it seems like it's the best way to bring out the smooth texture. Would love to see more illustrations, mainly portraits. Keep up the good work and enjoy your journey on hive.
