Splinterlands Art Contest - 203. My Pencil Sketch of MEDUSA. Fan-Art.

Hello My Dear Friends.

How are you?

As I promised in my previous post mainly in the last post about splinterland fan art, I've bought my final fan art to share with you all. It was one of the works that took my sleep away to complete. It surely was tough and required a lot more time compared to the other drawings that I worked with. I really had a hard time doing it. I had to rip off so many pages just while drawing the structure that I don't even remember. Just making that base structure took a whole day. The sketching part wasn't also a piece of cake. But, it was the inspiration I got from all of you in the previous posts that kept me going. Thanks a lot for all the support, my friends. And thanks for all your suggestions about decorating my writings. I've learned the markdown codes and now I can design my post. Ture that I wasn't able to learn all the codes. But, I memorized the basic codes.

The card I'm inspired by is named MEDUSA. It's a monster from splinterlands that play under the water summoner of splinterlands. I've re-drawn it in a new way. I took ideas from some other works done by other artists and made this drawing. I'll share the steps below.

First of all, I used a 2B pencil to draw the base of my drawing. I draw the structure with less visibility so that I can change or remove any parts if I want.

Then I used a 4B pencil to finalize the lines. I also gave a soft touch of a 2B pencil to draw the skins then used tissue paper to bring out the smooth skin texture.

  • The final structure.

  • Then I used a combination of a 4B pencil and an HB pencil to draw the skin of Medusa and her snakes. But the final isn't here yet. Wait for it.

  • I thought of giving it more of a snake-like skin. I used a 4B and a 2B pencil to draw the snakeskin on her.

  • And here goes the final image. I'm hoping that you'll like it.

I really hope that you liked my drawing and enjoyed reading my post. And as always I'm open to any suggestion or criticism. I always try to learn from them. And thanks to the @splinterlands team for arranging such a contest for the artists to show their skills.

I'm so glad that I'm able to keep my promise.

In my previous post, I said that you're going to like my next work and I'm glad that you did.

And again, thanks for the support.
