Day 11 Mass Indoctrination service by Brother Eli .....24 January 2022

Thanks be to God.
I appreciate God almighty for the gift of life and for the possibility to witness this day. Listening to today's Mass Indoctrination, more value has been added to my life and here are the few things I learnt today.

The Lord's Table
Bible verses used: Isaiah 28:10-13 & 8, Luke 22:27, I Corinthians 10:22
The teaching of the Lord's table taught me to be a partaker of only the Lord's table and not the devil's. Many tables are filled with vomit and filthiness as described by brother Eli. He tasked us not to be like the people who returns to their evil ways just like a dog that returns to it's vomit.

Willingness & Voluntary
The people of God are led by the spirit, so not everything should be ordered. There are things we should do voluntarily without being asked. There are also thing which are not commanded to us but we do them because they are good. Isaiah 1:19, willingness and obedience puts us in right way with God and unlocks his blessings to us.

Vows are also a voluntary act.
Numbers 30:2, This verse teachings us to always keep our vows to God when we make one. St. Paul in Acts 18:18 shaved his hair in honor to his vow to the Lord. In the true church of God, we can vow to stay away from sin and make sure we fulfill our vows to God for there's no pleasure in falsehood; Ecclesiastes 5:4. The best way to get things from God is to make vows and abide to our vows.
Psalm 116:17, David offered thanksgiving in the presence of the people. Thanksgiving is a vow, God didn't command us to do such but we do it to show appreciation to the good God has done for us. Thanksgiving according to Hebrews 13:15-16 are sacrifice of praise which we offer to the Lord and which the Lord asks us to do continually. During Thanksgiving, let's not forget to do good.

Giving
God loves a cheerful giver. This means giving is according to the decisions of our hearts, 2 Corinthians 9:7. Tithes, according to brother Eli is not a commandment of our time. The act of giving should not be made a necessity nor done grudgingly. In 2 Corinthians 8:3, St. Paul made us understand that the Macedonians gave of their own Accord. This means that donations has no fixed price and is entirely determined by the giver. Mark 12:41 spoke of the offering of the poor widow. One point to note in her offering was the fact it was done voluntarily. St. Paul also in Philippines 4:15, spoke of the voluntary help he received from the Philippines when he was teaching in tesselonical.
I also learnt today that giving shouldn't be done in Deceit. Sighting the case of Ananias in Acts 5:1, Ananias was deceitful in his giving which led to his death.

In conclusion, the Lord task us today to keep our vows and he will bless us Abundantly. Also while making offerings unto the Lord, let's do it without grudge rather

Thanks be to God for listening on our meeting.

MCGI Cares (Hive) community's main mission is to share the words of God, not the Hive upvotes. If we get upvotes, please treat it as just a bonus. Do not focus mainly on material things as the bible is teaching us not to look at things seen but rather focus our eyes on things not seen.

II CORINTHIANS 4:18
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
