My Childhood Unforgettable Games

Greetings and welcome to ML-Blog. The weeks are always beautiful when we have exciting topics to discuss and nothing is more interesting than discussing one’s personal life. Our great HL- Community has made it a point of duty in rolling out fascinating subject matters and this edition's topic is something that everyone has dealt with at least once in their lives. “Childhood Games”.

THE PERFECT CHILDHOOD GAMES

Inquisitiveness is a part of childhood innocence. We used to like learning new things and putting them to the test as children. One thing that is sometimes uncontrolled is our need to play games, which might upset our parents if they believe we are overdoing it. But, hey, that's a child's life, and being a youngster doesn't continue forever. However, making the most of the little time is critical. If I were to ask how many of us got carried away by games as youngsters, you would find that more than 80% of us got carried away and played past our limitations at some point. So, the question is, what are those games that made me go gaga as a child

FootBall

I'm not sure what's driving my recent loss of interest in football. This is diametrically opposed to my childhood pastimes. Football used to be my brain twister back in the day. When I'm not performing academic work or household tasks, I'm completely focused on football. It's possible it's because I was particularly good at it at the time. Not that I was a difficult child, but I recall being scolded or whipped numerous times for my intense interest in football.

Anyway, I wasn't doing anything inappropriate at the time; I was simply enjoying the life of a child. That was my source of joy, and being a good player only added to the enjoyment. Is it possible that I overheard someone say "it's not true"? Anyway, if you disagree with what I stated about being a good player, then join me on the pitch and you will most likely be embarrassed by my legwork. I'm joking, of course. Those energies have vanished. I can barely run 100 meters without gasping.

I would have explained how the game is played, but I suppose almost everyone already understands that. You're undoubtedly aware that there's a form of post known as monkey post. That's all there is to it. We rarely played on a regular pitch when we were kids. Even if we had one, it wouldn't have been the ideal option because these pitches were too large for us to cover, so we opted for the monkey post arrangement, which allows us to cover a smaller area.

Football wasn't the only game that piqued my interest. I was also fascinated by the game of table tennis.

My Game of Table Tennis.

It’s quite funny to mention this though because at times I feel we abused the gameplay. Just as the name implies, we mostly broke the rules of the game and played it on hard surfaces with our solid rackets, which we mostly called bats, but this happened only when the use of a table wasn’t made available. Whether we played on the ground or at the table, we were convinced in our minds that we were playing table tennis. The idea is to keep busy and be excited innocently. That’s why the life of a child is pretty easy and straightforward.

Oh, did I just try to forget an important thing? Sorry about that. In case you don’t know yet, table tennis is a game played on the table by either two people or four people opposing themselves in a 1:1 ratio for 2 people gameplay and a 2:2 ratio for four people gameplay. This game is played by constructively hitting a lightweight ball also known as ping pong on the table based on a set game rule.

Another game that interested me as a child was the Solitaire/Card

Playing Solitaire as a toddle

This game was unlike any other I've ever played. I had to be physical for the others, but in solitaire, I had to be more calculating, with a little luck in drawing cards. Solitaire is made up of a pack of 52 cards with designs like hearts, diamonds, and others with letters or numbers inscribed on them, starting from the high to the low. (K Q J 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 A). You just need to get the perfect arrangement from high to low, as shown in the bracket above, to have a set removed from the play.

I wished to say more about this game but it has been so long I played it last and currently, all the details are not made available now even though I can still play it if asked to.

It’s been a wonderful chit-chat about my childhood game and so far, this is all I have to say for now. Until we meet again in my next post, stay glued to ML-Blog
