Diy tutorial on how I made chef jacket for the first time .

Good morning beautiful community how was our night rest and how was our weekend I hope we spent it well . Firstly I want to appreciate my lovely friends on hive for their constant support and friendly comment I really appreciate, is been a while now that I share my work here have been kind of busy with side job .

Today I want to share this beautiful tutorial on how I made this chef cloth jacket for the first time, at first I don't want to take the job but my friend said she will allow me to practice with her material then I downloaded a video on how to cut and sew a chef jacket on YouTube and I watch it, then I measure and cut it on my own, luckly I got the cutting .

Cutting and sewing step

I made use of one trouser yard of material .

I folded the material into two the length of the top is 24" then measure 4" for the Botton allowance, the neck width is 3"then the neck depth is 3" after that I go down by 1 " for the slant at the neck after that I measure the shoulder to be 8" and the burst is 12" , waistline is 9" + sewing allowance .

After cutting the front I folded in the botton allowance then place it on the fabrics to cut out the back , the back neck depth is 1" because of the collar after that I measure nipple to nipple measurement to 4" for the dart then I cut out the sleeve .

The sleeve is 8" wide then 10" length, I cut out the red piece material and iron to make the design.

I joined the part of the bodice together and sew and create the botton hole then iron it well and it look beautiful when I was done , I can't believe that this was my first time of making this dress.

I delivered the dress to my friend and she wore it she look good on it and she was happy that I didn't spoil her material 😱😄😄.
