My Must Enjoyed Purchase
Over the years, my buying experiences have been a mix of satisfaction and disappointment, shedding light on the importance of considering longevity and quality. One particular category that has often left me regretful is purchasing dresses. Whether it's the feeling of regret upon trying them on at home or the realization that the hefty price tag doesn't align with the dress's actual value, it's been a hit or miss journey with clothing.

One thing about it is that I like quality over quantity. I would rather prefer something good for quality with a high price tag than going for something fancy that will only last a few days. One of the things I bought that I have really enjoyed is this bag. This bag is one that, if not for its originality, would have ended up in the waste bin. How did I manage to find this bag? I was complaining to myself about how I needed a handbag, then I made a move to the market that very day, tagging the bag as the number on my list.
I walked all the walls of the market looking for a bag that would last me. This woman was the first I met with lots of bags, and I pleaded with her that I needed something that would last me. She suggested this one and told me the price. "Wow, not too different from my budget," I said to myself. She showed me others and their prices, but I needed something simple yet standard.
I took out money from my bag and paid her off for the two I picked. The shock was that the second one didn't even last months, and it started peeling off, looking very bad that I can't step out with it, no matter how bold I want to be. I dumped it and continued with this one.

This bag has lasted more for years now, and it's still looking the same, no damage. Even when the handle was damaged, I thought it was the end of the bag, only for me to see an alternative where I can use it as a replacement, and since then, it has been serving its purpose. Among the numerous bags I have, this is the most long-lasting, and it gives me joy anytime I wear it out.
On the flip side, one thing that I got highly disappointed with is this facial cleanser. I can't recall exactly which year I needed a brush with bristles that would be friendly to my face since I don't use a sponge on my face. I saw the advert for this set on Jumia, and I thought this was a good pick with a multipurpose function, so I placed an order for it.
My heart was leaping with joy when I saw it had been shipped, only for it to arrive, and I found out it was the opposite of what I needed. It was a massaging tools and the thought of refunding the product crossed my mind, but considering the distance between my place and their branch office was discouraging, and the rigorous processes of refunding a product made me have no choice but to keep it to myself. This was one product I bought and never used until I lost all one by one.
I learned so much from the two experiences. From the former, explaining to a seller what you need and going for quality is better than making a self-choice. Sometimes one might feel they got the best, only to find out their best was not actually the best. The latter taught me not to have so much trust in online purchases. I realized that online sales can be very deceptive, which has made me do more from offline to online.

This is one of the issues of buying things online, in most cases it does not always turn out to be what we want. The funny part is you will see a lot of images in display that indicates it is what you want, only for you to purchase and find out it is all a lie.
I'm telling. That feeling I got from that purchase discouraged me from buying expensive things online.
Wow, your shopping journey echoes the highs and lows we all face. It's great that you prioritize quality over quantity, and that bag find sounds like a gem! It's a valuable lesson to communicate needs with sellers. And yeah, online purchases can be tricky; your facial cleanser experience is a reminder to tread carefully.
My experience was exactly what you said. I'm very hard I learnt something valuable from that purchase.
As for the facial cleanser, it's a classic case of expectation versus reality, a reminder that what shines online doesn't always sparkle in person.
