During this holiday season getting out of the house is exciting, and doing it with friends can turn something casual into a fun time. Friends are the family that you have the opportunity to choose, so enjoying with them during this special time fills your heart with joy.

Durante estas fechas decembrinas salir de casa es emocionante, y hacerlo con amistades puedes convertir algo casual en un momento muy divertido. Las amistades son esa familiar que tienes la oportunidad de elegir, así que disfrutar con ellos en esta época tan especial llena de alegría el corazón.

Today I want to share with you my visit during the weekend with my friends in the great city of Maracay, let you see the art of this main city of the state of Aragua, and tell you a little of our walk to do some shopping and how we enjoyed a different day, along with some reflections.

Hoy quiero compartirles mi visita durante el fin de semana junto a mis amistades por la gran ciudad de Maracay, dejarles ver el arte de esta ciudad principal del estado Aragua, y contarlos un poco de nuestra caminata para hacer algunas compras y como disfrutamos de un día diferente, junto a ciertas reflexiones.

During the weekend we decided to get up early to make the trip to Maracay, a beautiful area that welcomed us with open arms, each of us came with different goals, to have a great day and make some important purchases.

Durante el fin de semana decidimos madrugar para hacer el viaje hacia Maracay, una zona hermosa que nos recibió con los brazos abiertos, cada uno de nosotros veníamos con metas distintas, tener un día genial y realizar algunas compras importantes.

Every year during these dates I reaffirm the value of friendship, it makes me think that I do not want to share such moments with other people than those who were in the bad and good times before, so throughout that day I was happy, because apart from going with two very good friends, I was also accompanied by my boyfriend, another growing hiver: @stypaternina.

Cada año durante estas fechas reafirmo el valor de la amistad, me hace pensar que no quiero compartir dichos momentos con otras personas que no sean aquellas que estuvieron en los tiempos malos y buenos anteriores, así que durante todo ese día estuve feliz, porque aparte de ir con dos muy buenos amigos, también estuve acompañado de mi novio, otro hiver en crecimiento: @stypaternina.

We must value friendships, the special people in our lives, this last year and a half with all that covid has stolen from us, I believe that each person has managed to reflect on valuing life, and those who accompany us, because we do not know what tomorrow holds for us.

Debemos valorar las amistades, las personas especiales de nuestra vida, este último año y medio con todo lo que el covid nos ha robado, creo que cada persona ha logrado reflexionar sobre el valorar la vida, y aquellos que nos acompañan, porque no sabemos que nos depara el mañana.

Friends

We walked many places, the great thing about Maracay is that it has plenty of stores to enjoy, so together we adapted to each other's shopping and visited places that would meet our requirements.

Caminamos muchos lugares, lo genial de Maracay es que tiene infinidad de tiendas para disfrutar, así que en conjunto nos adaptamos a las compras de cada quién y visitamos sitios que cumplirían con nuestros requisitos.

During the walk we noticed some of the many artistic expressions that the place has, huge murals that honor our culture and enhance the beauty of the buildings, to small details of street art that brightened our way.

Durante la caminata nos percatamos de algunas de las tantas expresiones artísticas que tiene el lugar, murales enormes que honran nuestra cultura y realzan la bellaza de los edificios, hasta pequeños detalles del arte callejero que nos alegraron el camino.

One of the things that I personally liked are the buildings that maintain that colloquial style of an ancient era, and yet are elegantly maintained among the more current restorations, allows us to appreciate the culture and enhances the value of our place.

Una de las cosas que personalmente me gustaron son las edificaciones que mantienen ese estilo coloquial de una época antigua, y que aún así se mantienen con elegancia entre las restauraciones más actuales, nos permite apreciar la cultura y realza el valor de nuestro lugar.

Maracay has very nice places, special to sit and admire the rest of the place, but a main feature of it and that affects everyone, is the extreme heat that is concentrated in the area, it seems as if they had a magnifying glass on them, which makes the sun focus hard on torturing them, ha, ha, ha, ha. However, after a certain hour we had a great miracle, the clouds began to give us shadows that lightened the exhaustion that had been accumulating during the morning.

Maracay tiene sitios muy lindos, especiales para sentarse a admirar el resto del lugar, pero una característica principal de ello y que afecta a todos, es el extremo calor que se concentra en la zona, pareciera como si tuvieran una lupa sobre ellos, que hace que el sol se enfoque con fuerza en torturarlos, ja, ja, ja. Sin embargo, luego de cierta hora tuvimos un gran milagro, las nubes comenzaron a otorgarnos sombras que aligeraron el agotamiento que se había estado acumulando durante la mañana.

We were astonished when from one moment to another some raindrops started to attack us, so we got on a bus and went to take shelter in one of the best shopping malls in Maracay, Los Aviadores.

This place is huge, we walked it for most of the afternoon and still couldn't get into all the stores, and thanks to the Christmas season we enjoyed a great Christmas tree.

We walked through many stores, we were focused on going through as much of the place as possible, in one of them, where they sell urban style clothes, I was very surprised because artists like Micro TDH, Apache, Gregory Palencia and Los Waraos, who are icons of the urban genre and artists of great relevance in the young society of our country had left their signatures in the dressing rooms of the place.

Caminamos muchas tiendas, estábamos enfocados en recorrer lo más posible del lugar, en una de ellas, donde venden ropa de un estilo urbano, me sorprendí mucho porque artistas como Micro TDH, Apache, Gregory Palencia y Los Waraos, que son iconos del género urbano y artistas de gran relevancia en la sociedad joven de nuestro país habían dejado sus firmas en los vestidores del lugar.

At the end of the day we agreed that everything was a very pleasant experience, we stayed at a friend's house and had delicious Venezuelan arepas for dinner, the best way to end a great adventure.

Al final de día concordamos que todo fue experiencia bastante agradable, nos quedamos donde una amiga, y cenamos unas deliciosas arepas venezolanas, lo mejor para finalizar una gran aventura.
