One Of The Disadvantages Of Raining Season As A Farmer. Heavy Wind Destruction On Cultivated Crops Making Low Production Occur. Plantain Stem Lodging.

The rainy season is always bringing its name. This implies that there may be a lot of rainfall which in two places ask it on Effect. Meaning that. It may always bring destruction into the farm in terms of bringing a lot of wind. Most rainfall brings a lot of wind at this point leaving all the cultivated crops on hold for weeks if not months. Because of the damage some plants may not go back to normal this is what actually happened. After 3 hours rainfall everything went down. Even the Maize section of the farm. I took some pictures of what happened as a lot of damages was done on the farm.
- What happened is called lodging. A lot of crops went down at their different sections due to heavy rainfall. This is also one of the disadvantages of rainy season. Even when you have the windbreaker it will just reduce a bit. I had to reduce the planting suckers.
Ssometimes the rainy season favor the farmer. The same time it also the Jesus a lot of production both in crop and in animals. There are some animals that do not do well during the dry season just like in the case of laying birds. This is the reason why they do not drink a lot of water during the rain season. The cold weather.
I add to cut off the plantain stem what after the other to clear the space. It's very disturbing but I can't really help the matter. The did has been done. Also that is why is good to plant more hybrid species of crops. Some hybrid do not grow tall at all.
- This was when the plantain sucker was being cut off. There is more to cultivation of plantain or banana. There are also ancient species that grow well just like you can see in the pictures only that they may grow taller than the hybrid species causing a lot of destruction whenever there is heavy wind.
Although there are still some of the new soccer coming up but younger ones. I recorded close to five big suckers gone down.
