Cultivation of plantain or banana is similar to each other on how you propagate or how you plant it. These also as it's own techniques you need to follow in step by step method in order to achieve a bountiful harvest. Like you all know different type of seed crops as well as different types of method of propagation. You need to read in between the lines so that you will absolutely understand and digest what you read online on the internet then you can also use it to process your own idea and bring them into action. The internet also helps to know what we need to do sometimes but you also need to break it down and understand it properly.

Plantain or banana has a special way of planting or else you will end up wasting a whole bunch of your time and also your labor,also your capital. So I will also explain how you can survive even when you plant your plantain or banana sucker. It is very necessary to understand that what you need in making this a successful farming season is mainly the plantain or banana sucker.

The first thing you need to do is to source for a very good and healthy plantain sucker. It will help you to fight a lot of battle along the line. When you already found this the next thing again is true look for a very good and healthy agricultural Farmland which will also boost what you want to plant on it. These are some of the secrets you need to know before jumping into planting or banana farming. When you know this and you also have this at the same time, next you also need to dig holes that are very deep close to 4-6 feet down below the soil. The reason being that if to yourself you suggest that this hole parameter is out of it. Then you plant your own plantain sucker just anyhow you like. My dear farmer colleague by the time you enter the rainfall season it will destroy the whole farm. I've seen several cases. Even though they were instructed to dig very deep into the soil, they thoughts it was just a mere talk. That was how they lost all the efforts. • The plantain sucker may differ from what you are saying but I can assure you that the sucker are very similar. It's needs to be a very healthy before you uproot it from the parents stock.

• This is a sign of already grown up plantain fruit which I sighted while I was making this capture so this is how it looks. It will start showing signs of flowering at the age of 5 to 6 months after transplanting into a healthy Agricultural farmland.

I tried to pick point and show us several pictures of the planting or banana sucker. What I'm saying is that you need to choose rightly. If by mistake you plant a very old plantain sucker. It will definitely germinate but it will reduce in growth and development. It will also increase your planting duration. Which means that if the plantain sucker should use 8 months to start showing sign of fruting or flowering, on this note it will take up to 10 months.

When you have this on your farm it has a lot of advantage, guess what some people actually come in search of the plantain or banana dry leaves to purchase them and after that they use this dried leaves to package their bitter kola or Kola nut.

Within 6 months of planting the plantain sucker , it will all make a canopy just like this. Definitely it means that what you planted 6 months ago is really making a positive growth impact. But within this range and what you planted remains the same, it simply means that you need to replant and start all over again.
