FACT : Undigested Milk/milk products causes abdominal gas and cramping.

Have you ever had abdominal gas or cramping after eating or having a drink? Well, it's most probable that such effects arise because the food or drink is a dairy product.

Yes, it is proven fact that dairy products (milk, cheese, yogurt etc) contain a sugar called "lactose" and when this sugar is undigested it can cause abdominal gas and/or cramping.

This Condition is what is referred to as LACTOSE INTOLERANCE.
Usually within 30 minutes to 2 hours after eating, someone with lactose intolerance will have nausea, stomach cramps, bloating, abdominal gas and diarrhea.

In lactose intolerance, the body doesn't make enough lactase which is meant to break down the lactose in dairy products.
Instead, undigested lactose sits in the large intestine and gets broken down by bacteria, causing gas, bloating, stomach cramps, and diarrhea.

Consequently, it should be noted that Lactose intolerance is a fairly common condition and not a disease or serious health problem. It comes with aging. So kids and teens are less likely to have it, but many people eventually become lactose intolerant in adulthood.

However, Lactose intolerance can also arise due to intake of medicine (some antibiotics cause temporary intolerance), infections and in rate cases it is inherited (congenital lactose intolerance).
