Burn Burn Burn

First day of the 5th anniversary event has now took out over 165 million DEC out of circulation.

Now first day of event will earn players the most points in the event as each passing day less and less points can be earned per DEC being burned.

DEC price is rising but not near peg. It may likely not happen in the days to follow since first day of event has most likely seen the most amount of DEC being burned. Yet as of now there is still eight hours left in day one so there could be substantially more players burning DEC. Whole event will last 30 days.

Now to be clear sooner or later players will have to burn the DEC to obtain Guild Points. The burning is a 1 to 1 ratio but right now with the event happening players can have the opportunity to earn rewards on top of Guild Points.

Splinterlands have announced that Guild Points will be ready to be used come middle of June. The points are better than DEC in terms of investing into guilds because holders of Guild Points will be able to take 90% of their guild staked points out and move to another guild if in the future the choose to do so. Currently investment the player puts in the guild they are unable to take any of it back unless the guild manually offers some form of refund.

Current top 10 players burning DEC and many are well known to the community. It is crazy to see tens of millions of DEC being burned but here we are with a lot more opportunities to burn DEC in the coming days.

The DEC to Hive ratio is now near a monthly high.

With DEC rising in value and Hive falling the ratio continues to climb. I am tempted to trade some of my DEC into Hive but at the same time I know I need to burn DEC to grab some Guild Points that will potentially be used to invest into my guild. With the first day almost ending I would prefer to decide sooner rather than later.
