Renting Still Profitable?
Over on peakmonsters.Com players can search for whole sets of cards for rental either for a day or a season. The cost is equated in DEC but all active players know the rewards are mainly on SPS.
So I was thinking how difficult or easy it would be in present day for someone who started near nothing can do in the game. One good option is simply to rent out a set of cards.
The silver league set that would work for modern league would cost 162 DEC per a day to rent. That means I would need to warn approximately 10 SPS per a day to break even.
I remember playing in silver modern league and I was beaten/out played almost straight everyday of the season. I ended up daily only earning fractions of a sps.
On the other hand there are reward cards earned that can’t currently be placed with a value. All in all there are benefits beyond the cost of SPS that maybe worth investing on renting.
The past was different in that often players would lease out on the kindness of others essentially playing for free. In addition the reward cards I earn can immediately by just playing and could sell reward cards to by booster packs.
Gone are the days where I can earn just by playing and now it seems the best way to earn is through investing and playing.

i am renting player and yet it is still profitable for me at least
I just once in a while play. Never made it to silver. But for fun I once in a while just rent a few separate cards for a day or so. All for entertainment, but still nice to collect some treasures :)
I think I do make over 10 SPS a day but that would definitely cut into my earnings by quite a bit. I don't think it's really that profitable to do that though.
Exact conclusion I made. Back in the day the game could be played almost freely and players can earn. Now they have to be vested and be good at the game just to barely break even. Difficult to do !WINE
