The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly - My Daily SPT Rant

I want to start off with the good news I had overnight with Splinterlands. As I posted yesterday I was surprised by the high odds of pulling a Chaos pack in daily rewards as of recently. Lo and behold today I again pulled a Chaos pack and this was all done with five daily reward chests. Chaos must love me lol.

Although the economy and US stock market seems to be holding up well the bad news for crypto investors is that BTC and many altcoins appear to be trending down. This of course is effecting the prices of Splinterlands tokens.

Worse the token prices dropping is making assets such as NFTs dropping too. As of current stats Splintercards is listing a full max level regular Chaos set is close to $3500 which I think is near an all time low.

I am not sure when the prices will stop falling but all signs are leading to a continue downtrend as there does not seem to be any major updates to boost demand.

With less than seven days remain in current season I have yet to break through to Gold I which is not a good thing in terms of my progress. I am clearly being outplayed by bots and need to continue building up my card collection to be competitive. With card prices continue to fall its difficult to just go out and buy cards while trying to win more. The objective right now I have is to save and save until I have a decent amount of liquidity to do a full board purchase.

The plan now is to await for the latest Splinterlands set of cards arrive. I am hoping by then Chaos set will be near a bottom and I would have a few months to amass a certain amount of liquidity to invest in a full regular set. This will at minimum get me to compete better in modern league. There is also the chance that I could get to diamond consistently with a max level full set.

Without looking too far ahead I remain to have a few Chaos rewards cards that have yet to be at max level and I need to make that happen. I have saved a little bit to do so and will likely proceed with that step first before I can focus on the entire Chaos set.
