Drawing A Portrait [1022]

Hello everyone!

Today, I want to share with you my new art work. It's a random portrait drawing of a young man with simple dreadlocks.

The portrait was done with a blue ballpoint pen on a cardboard paper. I used scribble technique to create this piece.

Below are my step-by-step processes:

Yet again this technique worked out seamlessly for the dreadlocks! It seems that certain textures look realistic with this specific technique; however, it's the other textures that I find even more impressively executed because they're antagonistic to realism... yet turn out so good! 😊

When you master the act of getting a realistic work, then any style you apply wouldn't be that though for you to achieve in a work. It just depends on how you feel and what you want to achieve.

Indeed, it's the stylistic deviation that makes these drawings particularly interesting and unique. Very happy to look at the new works daily.

It's never too realistic or perfect. Great job this time with integrating clothing. All this an no guide lines either.

I usually don't like to use gridlines in my drawing except during commissions. Though they help increase accuracy, they tend to consume my time and also allow less of my brain to work.
My eyes are my lines - I create them through imagination and observation.

Indeed. It's 100% freehand. Just adds to the magic.
