[Esp-Eng] Generación X o Generación Y, un Verdadero Enredo

No lo recuerdo, pero mi madre dice que nací en 1980, exactamente un 23 de abril y creo que soy de la generación cromosómica, porque no soy ni generación X, ni Y, peor aún soy una combinación de ambas.

Si mal no recuerdo, creo que XY eran los cromosomas que marcaban el sexo del ser humano, en realidad, esto es un verdadero enredo, hemos pasado una insuperable cantidad de problemas y aún no estamos traumados.

Dicen que los de la generación X son los culpables de los divorcios, porque allí nuestros padres se soltaron el moño y la generación Y fue la premiada, porque los padre por ese sentimiento de culpa, les dieron todo lo que pedían, para subsanar la ausencia.

I don't remember, but my mother says I was born in 1980, exactly on the 23rd of April and I think I am from the chromosomal generation, because I am neither generation X, nor generation Y, worse still I am a combination of both.

En fin X o Y, los nacidos en esta mescolanza, nos ha tocado rudo, primero sobrevivir a nuestra infancia análoga y sin televisión por cable, hicimos de todo, escalar árboles, tomar agua directa del grifo, manejar bicicletas, sin cambios de velocidad y jugar corriendo por todos lados.

Pero al pasar el tiempo, fue cambiando todo y de pronto aparecieron los Juegos de vídeo y era asombroso el Atari y jugar Pac-Man y así fue el inicio donde cambiamos las calles, por una televisión y salimos de ser X y empezamos a ser Y.

In the end, X or Y, those of us born in this mishmash, have had a hard time, first surviving our analogue childhood without cable TV, we did everything, climbing trees, drinking water straight from the tap, riding bicycles, without speed changes and playing running all over the place.

Entre confusiones nos fuimos adentrando a este mundo tecnológico, ya deseabamos tener un computador 385 con diskette 3 1/2 y un Nintendo para jugar con plomero llamado Mario y su hermano Luigi y así explotó esta era digital.

Fuimos el final de los X y disfrutamos el aire libre, el jugar en las calles, bailar trompos, brincar con cero contra por cero, correr para no ser la R y el principio de los Y jugamos Pac-Man, Mario Bros, nos lucimos un discman y tuvimos dislocación de cadera, por guindar en nuestra correa un Teletac.

Con toda esta confusión no sé si soy X o Y, y para terminar de entender, iré a la biblioteca, a buscar un libro de biología de Serafín Mazparrote y entender cuál generación soy.

With all this confusion I don't know if I'm X or Y, and to finish understanding, I'll go to the library to look for a biology book by Serafín Mazparrote and find out which generation I am.
