Feliz dia queridos amigos, bienvenidos a mi blog una vez mas me alegra compartir con ustedes momentos en familia.

Siempre acostumbro asistir a misa los Domingos a la iglesia queda cerca de mi casa, pero el pasado fin de semana fui con mi familia a visitar la Basílica nuestra señora de Chiquinquira, templo sagrado muy concurrido, por nosotros los zulianos, este se encuentra ubicado en el casco central de la ciudad.

On Sundays I always attend mass at the church that is near my house, but last weekend I went with my family to visit the Basilica of Our Lady of Chiquinquirá, a very popular sacred temple, for us Zulians, this is in the center part of the city.

En este mes de noviembre celebramos las festividades de la Reina Morena como llamamos cariñosamente a la Virgen del Rosario de la Chiquinquira.
El último sabado del Octubre de cada año la Virgen es bajada de su sagrado altar, para recibir a los feligreses que venimos a adorarle y a darle gracias por todas las bendiciones recibidas.

In this month of November we celebrate the festivities of the Morena Queen as we affectionately call the Virgen del Rosario de la Chiquinquira.
On the last Saturday of October of each year, the Virgin is lowered from her sacred altar, to receive the parishioners who come to worship her and to thank her for all the blessings received.

También se celebra la feria de la chinita, encienden las luces en las diferentes avenidas de la ciudad para dar la bienvenida a la navidad, escogen a la reina de la Chinita y los gaiteros se reúnen y componen canciones pata traerle serenatas hasta el amanecer todos los 18 de Noviembre.

The chinita fair is also celebrated, the lights are turned on in the different avenues of the city to welcome Christmas, the queen of the Chinita is chosen and the pipers get together and compose songs to serenade her until sunrise every day. November 18th.

Yo la visite antes con mi familia para evitar la multitud, sobre todo este año que traje a mi nieto Gael ya que para esta época viene gente de todas partes del país..

I visited it earlier with my family to avoid the crowd, especially this year when I brought my grandson Gael since people come from all over the country at this time..

Les cuento que mientras estábamos en misa empezó a llover, así que tuvimos que esperar a que dejara de llover para poder salir de la iglesia después de oír misa.

I tell you that while we were at mass it started to rain, so we had to wait for it to stop raining so we could leave the church after hearing mass.
