Our Piso‑Wifi Side‑Hustle Had a Little Trouble: A Quiet Upstairs Break

Recently, our piso-wifi machine got a bit broken. The coin slot stopped working properly. We can’t just drop coins in anymore. But good thing we still have a way to keep it going.

We make manual vouchers instead. Most people buy the ₱5 voucher, which is good for 6 hours of internet use.

Since the coin acceptor broke, our sales have gone down a bit. Even so, we are really thankful because we still have regular buyers. Our neighbors from both sides of our house. The money we get from selling these vouchers adds up little by little.

Sometimes it looks like just a few coins, but it’s a big help for small things we need to buy at the sari‑sari store. It can be a real lifesaver when our budget is tight. I am usually the one who writes out the vouchers. Some we keep here at home, and the rest we bring to my mother‑in‑law’s store to sell there.
That way, people can still buy even when we are not around. We are so fortunate to have supportive neighbors. Yesterday, after I finished writing those vouchers, my hubby got home. It was time for our snack break. But he had a nice idea. Why not have our snacks upstairs while we do some bird‑watching?
I was excited to join them, especially since I haven’t been feeling well the past few days. It sounded nice to get some fresh air up there. I quickly prepared simple snacks.

Milk for the kids, coffee for me and my hubby, plus some biscuits and cake to share. We brought everything upstairs. I also took a photo of my two boys happily munching on their favorite snacks.

They looked so joyful because we went there and got to eat together 😍 We also took a family photo with the lovely sky as our background.

I'm so glad the kids were cooperative because it made me smile, thinking that we still have those moments even before having children. Now we are a happy family of four. Time flies so fast!
We enjoyed our simple snacks, the kids ran around and played, and my hubby and I chatted while looking out at the sky. I was still a bit dizzy because of my illness, but being there upstairs helped me regain my energy. 🥰

Nothing is small. I think little earning can contribute in many ways.

STOPI hope the coin-accepting machine gets back up and running soon! By the way, it's great to break the routine and enjoy eating those cookies like that!
Good thinking switching to manual vouchers when the coin slot broke — small side hustles like that really do add up and help in tight moments. And ending the day with snacks and bird-watching upstairs with the family sounds like the perfect way to turn a stressful afternoon around.

Nice business! Gusto ko magnegosyo din ng ganyan kaso hindi uubra dito sa current location ko. Bawat household, hindi lang iisa ang ISP, puro may mga back up internet. Hahay!
