Last week I struggled to meet my daily quota of work done. Of course, as a freelancer I used to think I have all the time in the world to do whatever I want. Guess what? I don't!

As I sat down to do my work, I made sure the notification was on. Maybe it was the devil deceiving me or I was the one deceiving myself by trying to show my impeccable ability to multitask.

With each notification sound, I rushed to WhatsApp to check what was happening. By the end of the week, u fell short.

I wasn't mad at myself until I got paid for the week's work. It was well below what I needed to sort my bills for the week. I paid dearly for my lack of concentration. I learnt a bitter lesson.

It's a pity you got a low pay because you were distracted by other things and didn't meet up with the needed quota. I'm sure you learnt from the experience.
