RE: Fear Is Only Powerful When We Fuel It

Each time we see such things even if they are not harmful, we get scared and try to be careful.
I grew up with the stories that scorpions are way more deadly than snakes.
The day I was bit by a scorpion I nearly died. My near death experience wasn't because of the potency of the sting, rather it was out of the fear developed from stories I've heard since I was little.
I felt the sting around 2am. I was so scared to the point that I ran out of the house and was running straight to the nearest medical centre which was about 15 minutes from my place. On getting there I was given an injection and that was it.
When I got back home and read that scorpion stings are not that powerful to instantly kill an adult, I felt like a fool. While running like a headless chicken to the clinic in the middle of the night, I could've been mistaken for a thief and lynched to death. That was what fear of the unknown did to me.
LoL, look at what fear can do. Sometimes the things we hear can cause us more damage than the actual thing.
Scorpions don't even hurt much, the first time I was stung by one, it was just like the pains from ant's bite. I can imagine an adult running all the way to the hospital by 2am because of the fear of scorpion's bite. LoL, sorry about that experience 🤣
You really need to see me that night. It was very funny.
As I was running to the clinic, I held the ear that was stung and was literally shouting 'I shall not die but live' in the middle of the night.
What a funny and horrible experience. Fear can kill!
Omo, no shame me na 😂😂 Sha things we hear have great potency
😂😂😂
They quietly take a residence in our minds and take control of it when we least expected.
Exactly, words are powerful
