My 2021 in hive

My hive experience this year can be better describe as a work in progress. My first post on hive was in July. In that month, my engagement was low, low as writing one post in four days. But one thing was noticeable, that I was improving in the length of the words in my post in the first two month in hive.

It has always been my desire to attain some level of proficiency in English. English is a marketable language in my country, being able to speak and write in English add some prestige to one's personality. Hive have been one place where I deliberately want to improve myself in English, It has been a wonderful experience so far. Especially where I have to look up the meaning of some words in dictionary. If you happen to check the construction of my English in my post from July with this present post of mine, I believe, you will notice a considerable improvement in my grammar, thanks to some people and community in hive that have taken their time to advice and make corrections in my writing.

And to know there are other token one generate aside hive was a eye opener to me; it was just a month ago that I knew there are other token one generate by simply using tags that can been seen in hive engine. That's work in progress for me. I do use ecency app in login into my hive account, it has not been too long that i knew that those points can be used to promote or boost post. Am a newbie, am still learning.

Making friends in hive has been my challenge. I learnt I can achieve that through discord groups, which I tried to join, but for one reason or the other, my phone has not been able to collect the apps or support it. Engaging in other people's post had been advice to me, as a way of making friends in hive also. Which I will definitely inculcate into my hive activities next year.

Hive has different communities where each post or topic can be fit into, depending on what one is writing about, that was one thing I learnt right from the onset. For now I seem not to have a niches, I write mostly on anything that comes to My mind. But mostly engaging in contest, organised by different communities. Some communities contest has helped me reflect on myself, while others teaches me how to write stories. Am thankful to them all. It's a beautiful experience being in those community and hive at large.

I have been having some thought on how am going to have some influence in hive. Having large holdings in form of hive power seem to be one of the ways. That's to say, I need to be powering up my hbd if I really want to have influence in hive. Even though I know It will take years to achieve that. Rome was not built in a day.

Not too long ago, the price of hive went high, people were selling their hives, making some good cash out of it, as for me, I was not having any hive to sell, and the stability the hive has enjoy above $1 for almost a month now, is a good sign that hive as prospect for rise in price in future which I think is good place to invest in.

The year 2021 in hive has been a year of learning and progress for me. And it has been a year of great experience for me.
