Amazon’s Green Future!

For years now, Amazon.com has come under pressure for its toll on the environment from delivering millions of packages to its customers each year. Last year, employees urged the company to commit to a plan to secure 100% of its electricity from renewable sources.

The request did not fall on deaf ears.

Amazon is now launching a $2 billion internal venture-capital fund focused on technology investments to reduce the impact of climate change.

The aim is to help Amazon and other companies reach a goal of “net zero” carbon emissions by 2040.
