Carrera en Cabimas al amanecer 🙌🏻🙏🏻☀️🏃🏻♀️😎

Saludos y Bendiciones Runners.

Greetings and blessings, runners.
It’s Tuesday, and here in Cabimas I started my morning workout today—not as early as I would in my hometown, since sunrises come later here. And they really do come late: even at 6:30 a.m., it was still completely dark. I went out with my husband to run a few kilometers around Cabimas, to help my body adjust to this city and scout out safe, quiet routes for training during these vacation days. I started off with a light workout, but despite that, the heat got to me, and I felt pretty tired. Since my husband is from this city, he took me to various places. We passed by a very popular square with the city’s iconic monument—oil drills—since the main industry here is oil drilling.
Thank God I brought my hydration supplies. I don’t know why the run hit me so hard—maybe it was because I was feeling a bit under the weather with the flu—but I felt pretty sluggish. It was really hard for me to finish that day’s run, so I alternated between walking and jogging to stabilize my heart rate and cope with the heat. I felt cooler and more stable once I lowered the intensity. In total, we ran 9 kilometers in Zone 2. It’s good to train in different environments and climates, since it takes your mind and body out of their comfort zone and helps you adapt to different stimuli. In the end, I felt better. The heat waves have hit me a bit hard in this city, even though I come from a hot city—the heat here is even more intense. See you next time, runners.

I personally don't like running (I struggle every time I try) but I read and support those that do and produce cool content.
My attempted routine, run 20m walk 3km repeat. Once a month when my conscience reminds me of how important it is to lose weight :-) It's why I like cycling.
