Obsessions that make us feel fullness: WEEK 191

Greetings Hivers. Today I join the Weekend-Engagement: Week 191, choosing the topic about:

What are you obsessed with and why?

When we become obsessed with reaching a goal, an objective that we desire with our souls, we put all our strength and willpower into it until we reach it, of course it is true that like everything in life, excesses are harmful, that is why it is very important to have limits in our obsessions.

To be in contact with an environment without walls is to feel free, to feel full freedom, and to be as we are, and to enjoy without any kind of protocol as we are. To go out of those four walls where we are every week really makes us feel light, to let go of burdens.

As a mother we are obsessed with the professional growth of our children, that they excel in what they like, and that they acquire the discipline to be successful. As I was a ballet dancer, and I enjoyed very much that stage of my life from which I obtained powerful tools that have helped me in my life, besides enjoying my life to the fullest, I also wanted my daughter to have the opportunity to live this wonderful stage in her life, enjoying her childhood and adolescence to the fullest. So I became obsessed in the good sense with my daughter from a very young age to get her involved and create a discipline in the artistic world and to reach beyond what I reached, so I enrolled her in ballet and music school to my daughter.

My daughter was inclined towards music, and she has been part of the state symphony orchestra for 8 years now, the first years were very hard, even as a child, creating that discipline for her instead of playing at home, or sleeping as her friends did, she did not understand it, many times she got tired, she did not want to go, and for that I was there to support her and guide her, and with time and my support she began to show her passion for music, and she started to take up the violin, that is how it was my obsession day by day for my daughter to acquire another skill, to teach her how discipline leads us to success, today I see her concerts, and I feel very full as a mother, today I am even surprised to see how she created her own discipline and obsesses so that her scores sound perfect.

I see her sitting there in the first row where the most outstanding musicians are located, and I feel so proud, and in this way I confirm that dreams come true, through continuous work, discipline, focus, sacrifices, and above all, lots and lots of passion, and confidence in what we do, and what we propose.

My current obsession and for which I am working hard going from less to more but with constancy and permanence in time is to reach my 21 K in running this year, for this I have established a food and training plan, thank God I managed to operate on some fibroids that kept me in low performance in running, but thank God I have recovered the energy, so I hope soon to give the good news of my half marathon reached. Actually my maximum mileage reached a few weeks ago was 12K. I know I'm going to achieve it because it's an obsession that makes me very happy, every time I overcome a kilometrake the level of satisfaction is wonderful.

What a beautiful story of how a parent's obsession for their child's success can lead to such incredible fulfillment. It's a great reminder to always follow our passions and support those we love in pursuing their dreams.
