Today's sunshine deserved a photo session.

It is interesting how easily we often find ourselves appreciating one of nature's greatest shows, the sun. This day was no exception. In fact, it was extremely bright and so intense you couldn't help but see it. And although you could feel its warmth, it was beautiful enough to stop for a moment to enjoy.

This day, the sun lit up the sky with a wonderful display of light and created a very impressive sight. Although it was warm outside, the sunshine and confident demeanour of the sun as it stood on the horizon provided me with great fascination.

Normally, this would have been the first opportunity I had to take some pictures. As many times before, I pulled out my smartphone to capture the moment. At times, it seems that the simplest photographs are those which will reward us the most. That was true today. My expectations were exceeded when I reviewed the photos. To me, each photo seemed to reflect the moment as accurately and as beautifully as possible.

There is something special about the way nature communicates through light, colour, and environment. Many times nature tells us stories using none of these things. When looking at these photos, I think they tell a story that is far greater than any number of words.

I am glad to share these photos with all of my readers today. These photos remind us to occasionally stop and look around us and to notice the beauty that surrounds us. Often times the simplest sights are ones we remember most vividly once we have taken the time to really see them.
