Friends for Keeps!
"True friends are never apart, maybe in distance but never in heart."
Hello Hivers! This is my first time to post here in Family & Friends Community. I just thought this experience of mine is worth sharing here.
So here it goes...
It is always a joy to see once again friends we did not see for a long time. That's what happened when our friends came to visit Cebu again.
Weeks prior to their arrival, my friend told me she and her family is coming to Cebu to visit the Cebu City Philippines Temple. This friend of mine also have three children. One boy and two girls. The girls happened to be of the same ages as our girls. The first time they met in 2020, the became instant besties.
I told my girls that they were coming and they were all ecstatic to meet their besties again!
And so the day of their arrival came. We just have to meet them at the Temple complex. They checked in at the nearby hotel.
It was a day of a quick reunion! The girls where busy catching up while me and my friend and her mom, who is also my friend, went inside the temple to worship and did some important work. It was a memorable experience for us. It is seldom that we can do temple work together.
After being inside the temple for couple of hours, we joined our children and our husbands.
The whole gang with her mom and father in-law and of course my family.
It was just so sad because they need to leave and go home on the same day due to a school recognition on the next day. As much as they wanted to stay for another day, the recognition was an important event of their children's school life.
The children were sad to part ways once again. But that's life. They can't stay in Cebu forever. 😁 We took photos before they left. A remembrance of this precious moment with friends.

Time flew so quick that they needed to say goodbye and all we can do was watched them leave. It was a bittersweet feeling. But then again, we are looking forward to see them again any time soon. Goodbyes are not forever. 😊

It is indeed sweet to see old friends again. I remember when I was little when my mother was visited by her cousin every once in a while. She would say that they had a "long play" (like in a record, who can relate to this? hehe). A day or two isn't enough to cover everything when they catch up.
I can't relate sa long play sis. Haha and Yes a day or two is not enough.
Hehe, bata pa ka Met. Kahibalo ka ug unsay plaka? as in plaka sa music? record? Ang dako nga plaka mao nay long play meaning daghan songs i play maong dugay mahuman ug play, maong gitawag siya ug "long play", hehe.
