Ladies of hive community contest#183// My last photo and the story behind it,by megamo..

Hello amazing and wonderful ladies of hive, so excited šŸ˜Š to be with you again. I am megamo.
I couldn't make it for the last two contests, was held up with work but I appreciate the topics and the beautiful write āœļø up shared. They were educative and impactful.

This is a new week, a shout out and thumbs up to the Judge of the week @Saffisara for choosing interesting topics.
I will be sharing on ,what was your last photo you took, share it with us and tell us story behind it.

I remember when my son started his journey in primary school education, from the reception classes, to nursery section and from there he moved to the primary section and a day came he was graduating from the primary school.

It's amazing because, I remember when he was little and how he had to learn, grow up to get to that stage.
There were days, I would be tired šŸ˜©, and long for holiday period so I could rest and concentrate on other pressing issues.
some days, I will get so busy with work but have to go pick him up from school.

Other days my schedule will clash with pick up time of the school, I will be rushing to meet up .
I didn't meet up one day ,he was the only one left in class with his class teacher, his class mates had gone home.
Some days, I just wanna sleep šŸ˜“ some more and you can't because you have to wake early to make breakfast and fix his lunch before going to work.
Other days,he will have assignments, projects, you need to support or help him with dead lines or a time frame attached or I miss the day of submission.

I also remember, I had to go the school ,find out the bully troubling him and make sure he was fine. I informed the class teacher about it.

The good days of sporting events, where you need to go do some cheering up when he was participating.
Parents were given the opportunity to participate too.
We had a game, "to pull the rope"usually between parents and teachers.

The days I loved, and patiently waited for was the cultural day, where everyone comes in with their different cultural attires, making the day colorful. Everyone came to represent their various cultures tribe and languages.

Food exhibition was another exciting part of the day, from the different ethnic groups .
Dancing was part of the day, where the different dance groups representing the different tribes and languages danced ,and made the day filled with fun and laughter.

The display of local drums, flutes, and instruments. The sound of melodious songs sang by the different tribes, where students are
Showcasing where they come from.

I remember , when they sewed their aprons for their home economic practical assignment. They also prepared local bean cake called Akara and pap made from maize flour as their project in school.

There were times, they went for field trips, excursion to the Museum,Zoo, etc
The picture reminded me,that the young chap is graduating from primary school šŸŽ’

I realized that all my sacrifices, efforts, encouragement, care and concerns were not a waste.
It turned out to be a fruitful venture after all.
My son had climbed up, one level of the ladder of his career and pursuit in life.
Thank you for reading, see you in my next post.

Congratulations to your son @megamo , It is worth it to see our children achieve their educational goals. I had to cash in almost half my pension to pay the fee to a special Christian school that can accommodate my son's dyslexia problem. The Public school cannot do anything because they always ran out of resources. With some discipline and talented teachers he graduated and won two scholarships.

What was important is that my sons were spared the social abuse, disparagement and being bullied because of his learning disability. High school's social atmosphere is toxic to underachieving students, I know that feeling first hand.
