An unforgettable weekend after 23yrs, reunion set of 2001,set of 2001, St Josa.

It all began,by our chief coordinator creating a reunion committee.
The committee comprised of the chairperson,both male and female,the vice, secretary, treasurer, communication officers,venue /organization/Deco, refreshments/logistics, program coordinators, volunteers.The aim was to plan,deliberate,contribute and gather resources,hold meetings, for the upcoming reunion.
There were suggestions,ideas agreements, disagreement, we held several meetings, we had misunderstandings but at the end we were able to come to a resolution,
that emanated to a huge success.
Everyone was excited, because we had not seen each other for several years after we finished secondary school.
The program was scheduled for a weekend, for three days.

Friday,the first day was 29th , September 2023,where arrival started by 2pm,at the Heritage city guest house, following that was a friendly football match between the set 2001and the current st John's students and teachers of the school.It was an interesting game that ended with the score 4/2 .We won the match.

The Jerseys made were given to those who participated in the football match as souvenirs.

We presented the girls with free sanitary pads, to appreciate and encourage them to focus on their education and make their parents proud. We toured around the school premises to know the condition of the class rooms, hostels, the kitchen etc. To enable us know the future projects the old students will embark on. We equipped the school clinic with drugs and all necessary health kits and medicine they needed.

Saturday,the second day 30th September 2023,one of us was getting married,he was part of the set 2001,we factor the wedding as part of our reunion celebration, I was privileged to be the one doing his wedding cake, five tier cake with white and golden colors, the cake was beautiful and I ensured it was delicious, tasty and moist, it was an opportunity for my classmates to know I am into event planning.We arrived at the church @11am , where the church wedding took place, at the faith ministries international. It was beautiful wedding graced with family, friends, VIP's and well wishers, the new couple were joined together.
We proceeded to the Reception which started by 1pm at the Center LA sharp,No 4&5 gut road rayfield in Jos, Plateau state. It was beautifully decorated with shinning lights, the tables were gold plates ,with white wine glasses, there were caterers, photographers, we had the opportunity to dance with the couple and presented our gift's as a set. We had food,drinks,small chops etc
At about 5pm on the same day,we proceeded for a barbecue at Heritage city guest house,where we had roasted chicken and fish, with drinks.

The barbecue lasted into the evening we had fun, music, dancing,catching up on old memories.

Sunday 1st 0ctober,2023 was the third day of the reunion.8am ,we proceeded to the St John's college chapel Jos, for our Thanksgiving service,we were all dressed in white beautiful dresses, skirt and blouses, the guys wore native wears and others dressed in other colorful attire.
The exaltation was conducted by our classmates who were now working in the vineyard of God.There was singing and dancing and testimonies.We presented the church with a thanksgiving offering.
At 3pm on the same day , we proceeded for a red carpet dinner, we are all excited and happy to spend time together,my classmate were dressed in lovely corporate wears and the hall was colourful.

I was privileged to do the catering service for the dinner as regards to food,we had Jollof rice, fried rice and chicken,with salad. There was pepper soup with goat meat.We had fruit as complimentary.Withj
M exotic drinks, wine,Juice etc .
I was gald to receive compliments and good feedback that the food was delicious, tasty and they kept asking for more.
The red carpet was graced with the attendance of our school teachers who taught while we are in school.We as a set presented a token to appreciate them for the knowledge, discipline and training they passed to us.

The day was celebrated with the cutting of the cake, it was beautiful cake, it added beauty to the event.The cake was made by one of us, who was also into baking and confectionery .It was tasty delicious and yummy.
The celebration continue into the evening, I had to return home early because of my family.
Monday ,2nd October was the day of departure, those who travelled from far had to go .It was difficult to say goodbye.

The reunion was a great success, it was more than a gathering but a celebration our shared history.It gave us the opportunity to reconnect and relive beautiful memories.Indeed this was a testament to our strength of bonds as friends and Family.
