How are you? I hope you are fine. I would like to share a restaurant that I went to a few months ago. The day I learned that I had graduated from the university in Bursa last year, I was both happy and unhappy. Graduating from university means going into business life and I was not yet ready to start business life. So I was actually unhappy. But I was also happy that I got rid of the hard lessons.

Üniversiteden mezun olmak demek iş hayatına atılmak demek ve ben henüz iş hayatına atılmak için hazır hissetmiyordum kendimi. O yüzden aslında mutsuz olmuştum. Ama zor derslerden kurtulduğum için de mutlu olmuştum.

After I left department, I took a long walk around campus knowing that that day would actually be my last day at school. I was thinking about what to do during this walk. I could actually consider working where I did my internship, but then I gave up because getting a job in software was more important to me. But I still don't know very well in any programming language yet, so I was stressed. On the way home, I realized that I wanted to eat Beyti Kebab for a long time.

Okuldan çıktıktan sonra o günün aslında okuldaki son günüm olacağını bildiğim için kampüste uzun bir yürüyüş yaptım. Bu yürüyüş sırasında neler yapacağımı düşünüyordum. Aslında staj yaptığım yerde çalışmayı düşünebilirdim ama sonra vazgeçtim çünkü yazılım alanında bir iş bulmak benim için daha önemliydi. There was a shopping center called Anatolium close to my house and there was a restaurant called Bursa Kebap Evi in this shopping center. I wanted to eat Beyti Kebab or Iskender Kebab there for a long time, but I could not find the time.

Burada evime yakın bir yerde Anatolium adında bir alışveriş merkezi vardı ve bu alışveriş merkezinde Bursa Kebap Evi adında bir restoran vardı. Uzun zamandır orada Beyti Kebap ya da İskender Kebap yemek istiyordum ama bir türlü zaman bulamıyordum.

It was a good idea to go there and eat something there the day I found out I graduated. Since I no longer had classes to study or lab reports to prepare, almost all of my days were free and I could have more time to myself. I started looking at the menu a bit.

Mezun olduğumu öğrendiğim gün oraya gidip orada bir şeyler yemek güzel bir fikirdi. Artık çalışmam gereken dersler veya hazırlamam gereken laboratuvar raporları olmadığı için günlerimin neredeyse tamamı boştu ve kendimde daha fazla zaman ayırabilecektim. Menüye biraz bakmaya başladım.

There was so much on the menu that it was really hard to choose. But I still ordered Beyti Kebab because I wanted to eat it. If you've noticed, there are also allergen warnings on the menu. Next to each product are warnings about what kind of allergen substances it contains. I think they're very thoughtful about it. This was what I liked the most.

Menüde o kadar çok şey vardı ki seçim yapmak gerçekten çok zordu. Ama ben yine de Beyti Kebap yemek istediğim için sipariş verdim. Eğer fark ettiyseniz menüde alerjen uyarıları da var. Her bir ürünün yanında içinde ne tür alerjen maddeler olduğuyla ilgili uyarılar var. Bence bu konuda çok düşünceliler. Bu benim en çok hoşuma giden şey olmuştu.

I ordered Beyti Kebab and it was ready after about 15 minutes. I think they are pretty fast. I ate Beyti Kebap for the first time that day in my life and I really liked its taste. In fact, the tomato paste sauce on top was really perfect. I just didn't like the rice very much because the butter flavor in the rice was really too much. I like the special taste of butter, but I don't eat buttery things much.

Beyti Kebap siparişi verdim ve yaklaşık 15 dakika sonra hazırlanmıştı. Bence oldukça hızlılar. Beyti Kebap hayatımda ilk defa o gün yemiştim ve tadını gerçekten çok beğenmiştim. Aslında üstündeki domatesli salçalı sos gerçekten mükemmeldi. Sadece pirinci pek beğenmemiştim çünkü pirinçteki terayağ tadı gerçekten çok fazlaydı. Tereyağın o özel tadını severim ama terayağlı şeyler yemem pek fazla.

I also ordered fries like this extra. I think the fries are great. It was a crispy french fries.

Ayrıca ekstradan böyle patates kızartması sipariş etmiştim. Bence patates kızartmaları harika. Çıtır çıtır bir patates kızartmasıydı.

After eating, I wanted to eat dessert. I usually always want to eat something sweet after meals, but I rarely eat such things. Pistachio Katmer is one of my favorite desserts. Before those days, when I was in high school, we used to go there all the time because they made a very cheap pistachio katmer near the school.

Yemek yedikten sonra canım tatlı da yemek istedi. Genelde yemeklerden sonra hep tatlı bir şeyler yemek istiyorum ama nadiren öyle şeyler yerim. Fıstıklı katmer en çok sevdiğim tatlılardan birisi. O günlerden önce lise yıllarımdayken okula yakın bir yerde çok ucuza fıstıklı katmer yaptıkları için sürekli gidip orada yerdik.

When they prepared the katmer and gave it, they gave such a pistachio. The taste was different compared to other peanuts. This pistachio had a slightly more raw taste, but I still liked it very much.

Katmeri hazırlayıp verdiklerinde böyle bir antep fıstığı verdiler. Tadı diğer fıstıklara göre daha farklıydı. Biraz daha çiğ bir tadı vardı bu fıstığın ama yine de çok beğendim.

In this mall I mentioned, they often put things like this for children, and that day I came across this. It was a nice day. I had several news at the same time and my day was going strange. I don't think I could describe my feelings. I would say it was very different from today. But I'm much better these days, that's for sure.

Bahsettiğim bu alışveriş merkezinde çocuklar için sık sık böyle şeyler koyarlar ve o gün de ben buna denk gelmiştim. Güzel bir gündü. Birkaç haberi aynı anda almıştım ve günüm garip geçiyordu. Duygularımı tarif edemezdim sanırım. Bugünlerden çok daha farklı olduğunu söyleyebilirdim. Ama bugünlerde çok daha iyiyim, bu kessin.

I wonder if I can go to Bursa one day and feel the things I felt in those days again. I always felt strange especially when I saw this view. I remember back in those days when I became a really troubled person to experience any emotion. When I write these lines right now, I think of something to write for a few days later. I will take note of all of these.

Bir gün Bursa' ya gidip o günlerde hissettiğim şeyleri tekrar hissedip hissedemeyeceğimi tekrar merak ediyorum. Özellikle bu mannzaraı gördüğüm zamanlarda hep garip hissederdim. O günlerde hatırlıyorum da herhangi bir duyguyu yaşamak konusunda gerçekten çok sorunlu bir insan haline gelmiştim. Tam şuanda bu satıları yazdığım zaman birkaç gün sonrası için yazacak bir şeyler geliyor aklıma. Bunların hepsini not alacağım.

Take care of yourselves. This life is not long enough to be sad, but not short enough to ruin things...

Kendinize iyi bakın. Bu hayat üzülecek kadar uzun değil ama bir şeyler mahvedecek kadar da kısa değil...
