One Day in Eminönü. (EN-TR) Eminönü' de Bir Gün.

How are you today? I hope everyone is fine. I'm not well at all because there hasn't been internet at home for almost a week and they still haven't come to do it. There are always problems with the internet and it is very annoying. I'm using my phone's internet, but I hope it doesn't stop.

Bugün nasılsınız? Umarım herkes iyidir. Ben hiç iyi değilim çünkü neredeyse bir haftadır evde internet yok ve hala interneti yapmak için gelmediler. İnternet konusunda sürekli sorun çıkıyor ve bu çok sinir bozucu bir şey. Telefonumun internetini kullanıyorum ama umarım bitmez.

I really don't know what to do when there is no internet at home. And I'm having a hard time. Because I have work to do about Hive and I just can't do it. The internet on my phone was 15 GB, now I have 5 GB left. Anyway. Today I want to share with you something about Eminönü, which I went to a few months ago.

Evde internet yokken ne yapacağımı gerçektne bilemiyorum. Ve çok zorlanıyorum. Çünkü Hive konusunda yapmam gereken işler var ve bir türlü yapamıyorum. Telefonumdaki internet 15 GB idi şuan 5 GB kaldı. Neyse. Bugün sizinle bu birkaç ay önce gittiğim Eminönü hakkında bir şeyler paylaşmak istiyorum.

I don't know exactly what these things you see are, but I know they are some kind of stone. And I think it's great art. There are thousands of works of art like this in the center of Istanbul. And I wish I could take pictures of all of them. But I know this is impossible.

Bu gördüğünüz şeylerin ne olduğunu tam olarak bilmiyorum ama bunların bir tür taş olduğunu biliyorum. Ve bunun harika bir sanat olduğunu düşünüyorum. İstanbul' un merkezinde bunun gibi binlerce sanat eseri var. Ve keşke bunların hepsinin fotoğrafını çekebilsem. Ama bu imkansız bir şey biliyorum.

Also, these buildings you see are very common there. This design is truly a great design. Makes me think of 100 years ago. The buildings were like this 100 years ago and they were very beautiful. Historical artifacts are always very beautiful. I wish current buildings were like this... But unfortunately, current buildings are built very ugly because they are less costly.

Ayrıca bu gördüğünüz binalar da orada çok yaygın. Bu tasarım gerçekten harika bir tasarım. Bana 100 yıl öncesini düşündürüyor. 100 yıl önce de binalar böyleydi ve çok güzellerdi. Tarihi eserler her zaman çok güzeldir. Keşke şimdiki binalar da böyle olsa... Ama ne yazık ki şimdiki binalar daha az maliyetli olduğu için çok çirkin inşa ediliyor.

Eminönü is a touristic place and is in the center of Istanbul. There are metro, tram, buses and minibuses as transportation there. It's very easy to get there, but I can't say it's easy for someone who lives far from the city center. Since I am far from the center, it takes about an hour for me to get there. Sometimes an hour and a half.

Eminönü turistik bir yer ve İstanbul' un merkezinde. Orada ulaşım olarak metro, tramvay, otobüsler ve minibüsler var. Oraya gitmek çok kolay ama şehir merkezine uzakta yaşayan birisi için pek de kolay diyemem. Ben merkeze uzak olduğum için oraya gitmek benim için yaklaşık bir saat sürüyor. Bazen de bir buçuk saat.

There are such beautiful statues in some buildings in Eminönü. In certain places in the center of Istanbul there are a lot of statues and these are wonderful designs, but in some places there are almost no statues. I wish there were beautiful statues like this everywhere. I generally like human sculptures more, as you can see in this photo.

Eminönü' de bazı binalarda böyle çok güzel heykeller var. İstanbul' un merkezinde belirli yerlerde çok fazla heykel var ve bunlar harika tasarımlar ama bazı yerlerde de neredeyse hiç heykel yok. Keşke bunun gibi güzel heykeller her yerde olsa. Ben genelde bu fotoğrafta gördüğünüz gibi insan heykellerini daha çok beğeniyorum.

We walked from Eminönü to Taksim. This mosque you see was built here at the beginning of Taksim Istiklal Street a few years ago. A large and magnificent mosque. There are also a lot of tourists at the beginning of Istiklal Street and it is a really beautiful place. I guess I haven't been back there since I took this photo.

Eminönü' den yürüyerek Taksim' e kadar gittik. bu gördüğünüz cami birkaç sene önce buraya Taksim İstiklal Caddesi' nin başına inşa edildi. Büyük ve bir ihtişamlı bir cami. İstiklal Caddesi' nin başında ayrıca çok fazla tursit olur ve orası gerçekten çok güzel bir yerdir. Galiba bu fotoğrafı çektiğimden beridir oraya bir kez daha gitmedim.

The large building in the photo you see is a hotel called Sofitel. This hotel did not exist until a few years ago. It was newly built. The lower part of the hotel was designed with classical period architecture and the upper part was made with a glass-covered design. Interesting architecture. It looks like the lower part of this building was built 100 years ago and the upper part was built last year, right?

Bu gördüğünüz fotoğraftaki büyük bina ise Sofitel isimli bir otel. bu otel birkaç yıl öncesine kadar yoktu. Yeni inşa edildi. Otelin alt kısmı klasik dönem mimarisi ile tasarlanmış ve üst kısmı da camlarla kaplı bir tasarım ile yapılmış. İlginç bir mimari. Sanki bu binanın alt kısmı 100 yıl önce üst kısmı de geçen sene inşa edilmiş gibi görünüyor değil mi?

We decided to wander around the lower streets of Taksim for a while. Even though the lower streets of Taksim were dangerous, we still went to a few streets, but I think I won't make this mistake again. I haven't experienced anything bad, but I still think I should be worried. There we saw these two wonderful wall drawings. I wish these streets were not as dangerous and problematic as mentioned.

Biraz da Taksim in alt sokaklarında gezmeye karar verdik. Taksim' in alt sokakları ne kadar tehlikeli olsa da yine de birkaç tane sokağa gittik ama sanırım bir daha bu hatayı yapmam. Kötü bir olay yaşamadım ama yine de tedirgin olmalıyım bence. Orada bu iki harika duvar çizimini gördük. Keşke bu sokaklar da bahsedildiği gibi tehlikeli ve sorunlu olmasa.

I took this beautiful photo in one of the beautiful places in Beyoğlu. I can say that water fountains are very common in certain places in Turkey. It is often possible to see large fountains like this in shopping malls.

Bu güzel fotoğrafı da Beyoğlu' nun manzarası güzel yerlerinden birinde çektim. Türkiye' de belirli yerlerde su fıskiyeleri çok yaygındır diyebilirim. Çoğu zaman bunun gibi büyük fıskiyeleri alışveriş merkezlerinde de görmek mümkün.

I remember sitting and chatting for about an hour where I took the photo above. Time flies so fast, doesn't it? Sometimes, especially when we are with someone we love, time really flies at the speed of light. But time is so slow these days without internet...

Üstteki fotoğrafı çektiğim yerde yaklaşık bir saat oturup sohbet ettiğimi hatırlıyorum. Zaman ne kadar da hızlı geçiyor değil mi? Özellikle sevdiğimiz biriyle beraber olunca zaman gerçekten ışık hızında oluyor bazen. Ama internetsiz şu günlerde zaman o kadar yavaş ki...

A few hours later we left for home. Because the weather was starting to get dark and the sun was setting. It was really nice to talk there while watching the sunset. On our way back, we saw these cute birdhouses.

Birkaç saat sonra eve gitmek için yola çıktık. Çünkü havalar artık kararmaya başlamıştı ve güneş de batıyordu. Orada gün batımını izlerken konuşmak gerçekten çok güzeldi. Dönerken bu sevimli kuş evlerini gördük.
