This weekened was the annual Tabcorp Melton Plate. Tabcorp Park is a Harness Racing venue located in our community and has become a popular location for horse race enthusiasts across Melbourne and on any given night is packed with party goes and punters the like.

This weekend we attended the Melton Cup which is sponsored by the local council and also hosts a night market and kids rides all for a gold coin donation. We were privliedged enough to be in the Sky Box and enjoyed a meal and a chat amongst friends. We had Wurundjeri elder Aunty Julieanne Axford and her husband Andrew Axford. The night was a pleasure and catching up was even better.

Local Government Councillors presented the race winners with the Melton Plate which has become a sought after prize amongst participants. I even got lucky and won a $90 dinner voucher so we will return in the coming weeks for a kid free dinner and a few drinks.
