Family, Fun and Fireworks at Flavour Fest!

Goood day motherhood I hope you are all having a wonderful day! Summer is coming to an end in Australia and the weather is starting to cool down and with it a lot more community events are happening. One of my favourite events is the annual Flavour Fest where cultures from around the world host food van style foods and a giant festival is held.

One of my favourite a the Pinoy Meats where it is chicken or beef marinated in a Philippino style flavouring. Much like honey soy but I find it a lot smoother and more satisfying. I guess a blend between Spanish and Asian cuisine.

A culture that is growing currently in our community is Indian due to the large migration and there is a heap of wonderful food being shared amongst our communities. I quite love the curries, It must be something to do with aging but when I was younger I didn't particularly like spicy foods but as I age I like them more and more.

Live Music and Dance

At one end of the field is a live band that plays and at times they manage to attract some really good leading talent from around the world and some great feature acts. The event draws in around 20,000 to 40,000 people and is mainly focused around bridging communities together in our multicultural society.

That's one thing I love about where I live there is soooo many different cultures that enriches our community and bring in so many shared values and.... great food!

Tahlia and Casey had a wonderful time singing and dancing along while enjoying the nights entertainment which included rides, animal farm and lots of things to do and carnival games to play. Although we don't play carnival games I think those things are rigged to lose but are fun to try anyway.

Ending the night with fireworks

And what is a great cultural food festival without it ending in beautiful fireworks display which went on for about 10 minutes! The kids absolutely love the colours displayed across the evening sky.

They were once scared of the loud bangs but have now become accustomed to them and enjoy seeing them play out each night.

I have recorded another episode of Tahlia's world which we will need to expand to include Casey but while we edit the video in preparation for uploading to 3speak please enjoy our images and come along on a magical ride with us!

The annual flavor fest looks fun
Is it practiced everywhere in your country or just a part of it?
