Living on the fringes of one of out most populous Cities can be hard and challenging at times given the lack of infrastructure, services, employment opportunities and other vital aspects communities need. But what it lacks in man made developments in compensates with natural beauty and assets.

Unlike many other nations around the world the fringes of Melbourne is only a 40 minute drive to the CBD or 25 Minute train ride on a coach, so despite my interpretation of far for many this is still considered close.

It won't stay like this forever and over the next few years major developments are planned as Australia is experiencing an explosion of migration and expansion.

But this is my little slice of heaven that I get to enjoy amongst the gum trees, peppercorns, native grasses and Kangaroos.

It's a special place out here and lots of protected wetlands and even a national park planned for retaining so while we will get a lot of new developments soon it should still remain quite beautiful.
