Preparing for the season to change

(Edited)

This pretty little burning bush self seeded itself into my yard and it is in the perfect spot to allow it to stay and grow in it's chosen location! I've been enjoying its brightly colored autumn leaves.

A couple days of amazingly nice weather has given me the opportunity to get all the seasonal chores done that are necessary this time of year. All the flower pots have been emptied and the pots cleaned up and stored in the garage until they are needed again in the spring. The garden hose has been coiled up and put under the deck and the outdoor faucets have been winterized. All the summertime tools have been put away and the snow shovels have been hung on the hooks instead.
My deck looks so bare, but hopefully there will still be some sunny days where I can enjoy being outdoors

I'm not sure if I have ever felt quite this organized. Big thanks to my daughter and son in law for all their help!

Euonymus alatus, or winged spindle, gets its common name of burning bush for its bright red fall foliage

We set our clocks back tonight. Another sign that winter is imminent.

The autumn colours are a sight to behold. I love these photos, how the rays of light come through the gaps in the leaves.

Take good care of your helpers, they've earned a nice snack. 😁😘

Burning bush. What a great name. Nature is awesome isn't it? I like the way you put it

I feel quite lucky that it decided to grow here! I've been wanting one, but have not purchased one yet at the garden center. This is much better and I didn't even have to dig the hole!

Lovely burning bush pics. I found a burning bush after I cut back a bunch of overgrown undergrowth along one edge of our yard. Its another point of connection... the Clyde connection 😉 You are further along on winterizing your yard I have a few more tasks left to do.

Free burning bushes are a delightful connection to have! It is a relief to have everything ready for winter, but getting my outdoor space winterized is much simpler that what you have to do!

Lovely colours, I love the reddy hues much more than the yellows. Same for those reddish-orangey sunsets.

Self-seeded flowers are always beautiful, they are just natural and will germinate in any area, they always feel comfortable.

I love this flower, because of its brightly-coloured autumn leaves. It's so amazing.
Thank you for sharing this, continue to spread love
